Hotel San Romano is situated in Ferrara, a city full of interesting history that will fascinate our visitors. Tourists will find something of interest in every angle of the city from the medieval streets, its magnificent buildings. Once a year Ferrara is immersed in colour and sound during the medieval parade of San Giorgio. This city is also a Center of Art and Culture with museums, monuments and traditions that enchants its visitors. Travellers can take in a show at the Teatro Comunale, or can be entertained by the sounds and sights of Buskers festival that takes place one week per year.

Our completely restructured hotel is found in an old building in the Jewsih district and this area is closed off to cars making it very quiet. The hotel is in a central location, a few steps from the commercial area, near the medieval Via delle Volte, close to the Duomo, the castle and only 50 metrers from a parking area.

We offer our guests single, double, triple and quadruple (the latter with a bathroom between the two rooms) rooms that are comfortable and with a lot of space making this hotel a good choice from both groups and families.

Travel information

Hotel San Romano is easily accessible from the highway. Upon exiting Ferrara sud turn into and follow Via Bologna in the direction of the centre until reaching Piazza del Travaglio (for dropping off) or Piazzale Kennedy (for parking) where you can find more than 600 parking spaces and only a few steps from the hotel.

Albergo San Romano The main problem is the language, there knowledge of English is very poor. I was really disappointed about the internet connection. I paid two times 6 euro's for 3 hours internet and I could just read 2 e-mails and sent 1 e-mail. There was wireless available, but not for free and it does not work as it should. For the rest it is a simple hotel, nice situated in the center and relative good price.

Albergo San Romano Our very reasonably priced room was larger than our last house! Breakfast was fine, the staff was friendly and helpful (though only one was really an English speaker) and the hotel was in a beautiful neighborhood and easy to reach by bus from the train station. From the photos on the web I did not expect it to be as fancy as it was. And we thought Ferrara was a very special town.

Albergo San Romano The price was good, but the room was an attic. It could only be reached via a very steep, winding staircase. There was no refrigerator, no air conditioning, very little light and no screens on the window - not ideal for Italy in the summer. The other rooms which were about 10-15 Euros more expensive and probably had better facilities. Otherwise, the staff was friendly and the area ideal.

Albergo San Romano I really enjoyed my stay. I had room 11 at the top. Very quiet and peaceful with great vieuw over all the ancient roofs. Very comfortable bed and convenienient bathroom. All staff very helpful and very polite and friendly. The only slight problem was the car parking. Not very convient as the nearby parking was expensive and the other one was quite a long walk from the hotel. Normally this would not have mattered too much but in the pouring rain it was not too brilliant! Overall it was a very happy and successful stay and Ferrara is a beautiful and welcoming city.

Albergo San Romano Es un hotel agradable ofrece un buen servicio al cliente , el desayuno bastante completo para un hotel de su categoría, simpático en sus detalles y con buena presentación. Muy buena situación para pasear por todo el centro histórico y comercial. Nuestra estancia fue breve pero estuvimos muy a gusto. Recomendable.

Albergo San Romano Sehr geräumiges Zimmer, zwar ohne Klimaanlage, aber mit Ventilatoren. Lage sehr zentral und trotzdem relativ ruhig. Frühstücksgutschein für Bar nebenan; Angebot dort mäßig. Hilfsbereite Rezeption.

Albergo San Romano Sehr sauberes, zentral gelegenes kleines Hotel mit freundlichem Service. Angenehmes, großzüges Zimmer mit Klimaanlage und Kühlschrank. großes Bad. Einziger Nachteil; Auto muss auf Bezahlparkplatz in der Nähe (ca 300m) abegestellt werden.
