Probably one of the most famous regions in the world, the Chianti region is between Florence, Siena and Arezzo, in Tuscany. Hilly area of extraordinary beauty, dotted with small villages and farmhouses, Chianti is especially famous for the quality of its wines. The Chianti Classico has a specification that governs production: a DOCG wine since 1984 - 80% Sangiovese, 6% Trebbiano, the remaining are other authorized red grapes. The countries that stand between the hills of Chianti are jewels of medieval and Renaissance eras, places of silence and peace, but where the work in the fields and vineyards rule the days. Hospitality in the Chianti is guaranteed by many B&Bs which are always very hospitable: the food and wine is one of the main attractions of this area of Tuscany.
