Lake Bracciano Hotels

Lake Bracciano, also called Lake Sabatino, is located in central Italy, and is under the administration of the Province of Rome. The lake, circular in shape, is an important tourist and beach resort, very crowded in summer.

On its banks there are hotels, inns, B & Bs, guesthouses and campsites. There are a few countries overlooking Lake Bracciano, the town of Bracciano to the west, Anguillara Sabazia and Trevignano Romano. Its coasts are rich in vegetation and forests, and some interesting landmarks such as the majestic Orsini castle to the north.

In 1999, the area around the lake was declared a regional park. On Lake Bracciano it is possible to practice all water sports, from windsurfing to sailing. On the coast there are several routes for bikes or mountain bikes, while the hills are perfect to enjoy hiking or horseback riding.

Around the lake there are several beaches with facilities available to tourists. The most remarkable are those on Lungolago Argenti in Bracciano, stony and with several facilities, that of Anguillara, very beautiful with many restaurants and bars in the area, and that of Martignano, with the possibility to rent sun beds and umbrellas and boasting restaurants serving excellent grilled food.

Further info about Lake Bracciano

The large and small towns surrounding the lake are all of medieval origin, and offer tourists the possibility of interesting historical and cultural visits. In Vigna di Valle there is also the Air Force Historical Museum which houses an interesting collection of old aircrafts and aircraft equipment.

The same town of Bracciano has many attractions, from the Duomo to the Civic Museum. Do not miss the restaurants and inns that are located on the lake serving specialties of freshwater fish, but also a good variety of mushrooms. And of course the great wines of the area, produced by several consortiums on the lake.
