Catania City Centre B&B offers at low cost the comforts of a hotel and the friendly, relaxed atmosphere of a young B&B. Our multilingual staff will be happy to advise and help you during your stay.

It is an ancient restored building, plunged in the historical centre: in a few minutes you can reach the most important sightseeing of the city, such as the Cathedral, the Ursino Castle and the Benedictine Monastery (one of the sites belonging to UNESCO's World Heritage List).

Catania City Center Bed & Breakfast is located in the historical centre, halfway between the touristic and commercial part of the center, where the famous night life of Catania is situated (more than 150 bars), and the the historical city centre where you will get to know the original and vulcanic soul of the people of catania. 

By foot it is possible to visit the most beautiful examples of Baroque architecture in the city (world heritage sites of UNESCO), aswell as the principle monuments such as the Cathedral, Greek Theatre, Ursino Castle, Roman amphitheatre and the Massimo Bellini theatre. We are situated 800m from the commercial and historical centre of the city (Via Etnea), with its wide range of shops. The traditional Piscaria market is 5 minutes by foot.

The B&B is 5km from the airport (bus no. 457 or 534 from Piazza Borsellino), 1km from the bus and train stations (bus no. 628, bus stop in Via Vittoria Emanuele infront of Liceo Boggiolera or bus no. 431, bus stop Via Plebiscito) and the port. Just 30 minutes away from the highest volcano in Europe, Etna (reachable with AST from the station), 40 minutes from Taormina and 50 minutes from Siracusa. The bus terminus at Piazza Borsellini is 5 minutes away.

The sandy coast of the Golf of Catania (La Playa) is just 2km from the B&B and can be easily reached in 10 minutes (bus no. 427 from Piazza Borsellino or D from Via Etnea). There is also a lava stone beach a few minutes from the B&B, or visit the famous tourist locations of Acicastello or Acitrezza (bus no. 534 and 535).

From Catania train and bus station (they are in the same square)

Cross Piazza Papa Giovanni XXIII and follow via VI Aprile to the number 35. Turn right in via di Sangiuliano and follow it up the hill to the end. Turn left in Piazza Dante. You will recognize this square because of a huge church and the baroque monastry. Passed the monastry turn right in via Teatro Greco and then take the third street on the left which is via della Palma. Follow this road to the end and then turn right in via Garibaldi, you see in front of you an arch black and white. Turn the first road on the left which is via Quartiere Militare. The first on the left is via Naumachia. The Bed and breakfast is the yellow building at the number 103.

From Catania airport

Drive out from the airport taking Via S. Maria Goretti in direction Via S. Giuseppe La Rena. Follow the signs HARD ROCK CAFE' all the way to Piazza Borsellino. You will recognize the square because there is a Mc DONALD's and a series of baroque arches where the train goes on. Pass below the arches and turn right in Via Cardinale Dusmet. Keep going on this road with the arches and the train tracks on your right passing Piazza dei Martiri. You recognize this square because of a statue of on a column. Follow in the same direction in via VI Aprile then turn on the left as you can in via di Sangiuliano and follow it up the hill to the end. Turn left in Piazza Dante. You will recognize this square because of a huge church and the baroque monastry. From Palermo

Take the motorway A19 in the direction of Catania. When you arrive in Catania, follow the signs to the port. The road that goes along the port is Via Cristoforo Colombo. Follow this road to Piazza Borsellino. You will recognize the square because there is a Mc DONALD's and a series of baroque arches where the train goes on. Take the road to Catania SS114 and follow it for 48 km. Turn right and take the roak SP53 in direction Viale kennedy-Lidi Playa. Follow this road for about 6 km. Take the motorway A18 and follow it for 90 km to the exit CATANIA EST - S.GREGORIO DI CATANIA. Follow the signs Catania Center down to Via Vincenzo Giuffrida, then turn left to Viale Raffaello Sanzio. Pass Piazza Michelangelo Buonarroti and turn right in Viale Vittorio Veneto. Follow this road and keep going in Viale della Libertà to the train station ( Piazza Giovanni XXIII ). Cross Piazza Papa Giovanni XXIII and follow via VI Aprile to the number 35. Turn right in via di Sangiuliano and follow it up the hill to the end. Turn left in Piazza Dante. You will recognize this square because of a huge church and the baroque monastry. From Catania train station: Take the bus A.M.T 628 black and get off in Via Vittorio Emanuele, in front of the post office. Cross the road and go in Via Garibaldi up to the number 187. Turn left in Via Abate Ferrara and then right: you will find immediately Via Naumachia. The Bed and breakfast is the yellow building at the number 103.

From Catania airport: Take the bus A.M.T. number 457 or 924 and get off in Piazza Borsellino. Cross through Porta Uzeda and walk up to Via Garibaldi. Follow Via Garibaldi up to the number 187.
