B&b Donna Regina, Hotel Naples Via L. Settembrini, 80

This exclusive bed and breakfast is part of the Donna Regina Vecchia convent built in the XIV century according to the willing of the Queen Maria of Hungary. Nowadays a family of artists welcome their guests in this elegant and comfortable B&B situated at the 4th floor of this historical complex.

B&B Donna Regina is situated in the heart of the old Naples: the Duomo,the Archaeological Museum, Spaccanapoli, and the most important monuments as well as some of the best Restaurants and Pizzerie are reachable in a few steps.

Each room, furnished with original and antique furnishings belonging to the family, has its own individual identity and offer the personal artistic touch of Donna Gabriella. All rooms are spacious, provided with air conditioning and have ensuite private bathroom with shower. B&B Donna Regina offers: Double Rooms, Triple Rooms and Double single use. Two of the double rooms have an overhead gallery with other two single beds.

In the morning breakfast is served in the evocative and warm atmosphere of the antique kitchen. Here, on request, you can experience a traditional Neapolitan dinner.

For art lovers, Mimmo & Anna will help you organising personalised guided tours to uncover the monuments, the secrets, the traditions of the town and of its surroundings as well as to supply detailed information about the cultural events of the moment.

Travel information

From Naples Capodichino Airport: By taxi in 15 minutes (6 Km distance). The taxi will leave you at 30 mt from the B&B so follow Via Luigi Settembrini for 30 mt till number 80. Via Luigi Settembrini and the entrance of the building are under restoration. Don't worry when you see it. Inside it's very quiet & beautiful. At the entryphone press the button B&B Donna Regina.Take the elevator to the 4th floor.

From Napoli Centrale Train Station:

by taxi in 5 minutes (1 Km distance).
by metro (one stop, get off at Piazza Cavour).

From Molo Beverello (Naples' main Harbour): By taxi in 15 minutes (3 Km distance).

B&b Donna Regina I absolutely adored the Donna Regina B&B! This hotel is a lovely, quiet comfort in the heart of chaotic Naples. The rooms were kept very clean and the space overall is quite endearing with an absolutely delightful host Domenic. His knowledge of Naples, the surrounding area and its history is impressive and his recommendations for food, drink, and sights proved worthy.

B&b Donna Regina Great location to walk through Naples various quarters and to get on the tube. Like a lot of Naples buildings, outside is not very welcoming with lots of rubbish bins 5 yards away - full and smelly, but get to the 4th floor into the B&B/ enormous flat run by Domenico and you are immediately taken by the beauty of the B & B, its antique furnishings and feel of luxury and friendliness at same time - wonderful breakfast taken with all other residents on a long farm table - french windows overlooking the cloister's gardens - you can sit outside on the balcony to sip your coffee and admire some of Naples roof lines. Some improvements could be made to bathrooms (toilet seat was broken for example) and there were only 2 hangers in the wardrobe. However after spending originally 3 nights there we returned for another night at the end of our holiday. We liked it and would use it again with pleasure. Hoping that in the meantime some nitty gritty repairs are carried out. Dominique Morgan London W7

B&b Donna Regina We had a wonderful stay at Donna Regina Bed and Breakfast. Domenic, the proprieter was very helpful and available. His restaurant recommendations and assistance with transportation were very helpful. The breakfasts were ample. We would recommend the Donna Regina without reservation. We will definetly stay at the Donna Regina on our next visit to Napoli.

B&b Donna Regina Un bel posto per iniziare la scoperta di Napoli, si trova in una zona dalla quale e' possibile raggiungere facilmente tutti punti piu' interessanti della citta'. B&b Donna Regina La chambre prévue pour 4 ne convient pas du tout à une famille, avec 2 lits doubles, un escalier branlant, pas de rangement à l'étage .... La salle de douche est un scandale de vétusteté et de saleté, sans compter les dangers électriques. On apprend en arrivant que seuls les paiements en cash sont possibles (et c'est systématique). Les restaurants recommandés en profitent pour etre 20% plus chers que la moyenne. Dommage car le cadre a du charme et que l'endroit a du etre bien.

B&b Donna Regina Endroit magnifique et bien situé. Les chambres donnant sur la rue sont un peu bruyantes. Salles de bain "limites" : douches minuscules, faible débit d'eau... et petit escalier très escarpé dans certaines chambres (ne convient pas à des personnes âgées ou handicapées). Excellents petits déjeuners. Hôte très professionnel, de bon conseil. Une bonne adresse pour visiter Naples!

B&b Donna Regina Nous sommes allés dans ce B&B en février, lors d'un week-end glacial. Les Napolitains n'ont guère l'habitude du chauffage ce qui nous a valu de passer deux jours dans une température relativement peu élevée... Nous étions les seuls clients de l'hôtel mais l'un des propriétaires de la maison n'a pas pour autant pris vraiment le temps de nous parler de la ville comme cela était indiqué sur les messages de ce site. Les chambres sont en revanche spacieuses et confortables - un petit souci quand même avec les lampes, qui ne marchaient pas, et l'eau chaude, qui s'est fait la malle le dernier jour - et le petit déjeuner délicieux. Il me semble cependant que le tarif demandé - 93 € en basse saison - ne correspond aux prestations fournies.

B&b Donna Regina Le propriétaire est charmant et donne des conseils très utiles pour les visites. Les petits-déjeuners sont excellents et copieux. Il faudrait prévenir que la salle de bains est en mezzanine, ce qui, pour des gens âgés, pourrait être un inconvénient.
