B&b Fonte Dei Tufi Siena
“Fabulous hostess! Provided us with with excellent suggestions for restaurants in Siena as well as hill-town destinations in Tuscany. A very welcoming and warm atmosphere throughout the duration of our stay.„
A real Tuscan farmhouse is not easy to find at a fe hundred meters from Siena ancient walls. Here is where we are: at only a walk rom the ancient Porta Tufi.
There are many hotels, bed and breakfast and residences in Siena for you vacation, but there are no farmhouses with garden, with private parking and small forest which have the main Tower of Mangia just in front and the green countryside on the other side! We are in a very easy location to reach, from North and South. It's impossible to get lost while arriving to our b&b!
At a few hundred meters from Siena Sud, following for Porta Tufi (panel says Piazza del Campo!), you can easily find us turning left. From our b& b it's very easy to reach the historical centre with the small bus (famous "Pollicino bus!) that in a few minutes brings you in front of Siena Duomo; you can also reach it by car or by footwalking.

Our rooms are really spacious. won't fall into the bed or the desk. You won't find small rooms where only opening a windows become hazardous.
We will lead you with a smile into your sunny and airy rooms, where you can leave your luggage and everyday you will feel a bit more at home. Here you will plan your walks, your dinners or just a cold drink in the garden.
Each room has a nice desk in front of the window, a minibar filled with fresh drinks, a safety box. We installed LCD flat screen televisions with SAT decoder to help you enjoy the news or a movie, when you want to. We have also installed modern air conditioning systems, to make the rooms fresh in summertime and comfortably warm in wintertime. Each room, of course has a private bathroom with shower.

B&b Fonte Dei Tufi Bathrooms very extremely small, and head of shower could not be moved, so you almost had to kneel on the floor to get hair washed. Breakfast was not good, bread was at least one day old, coffee not hot, no jam or honey available, butter old.

B&b Fonte Dei Tufi The young ladies at the desk (and providing coffee at breakfast) were very kind, pleasant and helpful so that we got the most out of our stay.

B&b Fonte Dei Tufi The only down side was that it was not in the center of the city and we were under the impression that it was a bit closer. It wasn't a big deal because a bus went right in front of the B&B and was about a 5 minute bus ride to downtown. However, at night when we needed a taxi around 10pm, no one could be reached in the B&B to order one for us! We hit the bell at the main desk and no one responded. All in all it was a great stay - nicest room and beautiful grounds with friendly staff. More 24 hour service would be better. Also note to other travellers - you often can't pay bus fare ON the bus - you have to buy tickets in town...can be difficult if you're stuck in the middle of no where without bus tickets!

B&b Fonte Dei Tufi Ein gutes Hotel, freundliches, kundenorientiertes Personal, guter Service.... sehr zufrieden! Einziges Problem (wofür das Hotel offenbar nichts kann!) - die Zufahrt über das Navigationssystem war schwer zu finden. Statt via dei Tuffi oder Strada... konnte das Navi nur "Viale..." aufnehmen und man wurde in der näheren Umgebung ganz woanders gelotst.
