Travel information

From Santa Maria Novella station (Florence)

By walking: San Frediano Mansion B&B is only 10 minutes walking from the S.ta Maria Novella station. On exiting the central Station of Florence, go on towards Piazza S. Maria Novella and then to Via de'Fossi. Passed Ponte alla Carraia you will arrive in Borgo San Frediano.

By bus: catch bus D from the Station and get off at the last stop ( via Borgo San Frediano ). The bus-stop is exactly in front of San Frediano Mansion entrance.

By car: A1 motorway: Firenze Certosa exit. Continue towards Porta Romana. In Piazza Pier Vettori go straight on towards Via Pisana. Borgo San Frediano is at the end of Via Pisana.

From the airport: by taxi or shuttle-bus to the Central Railway Station, then catch bus D.

B&b San Frediano Mansion The location is very good, afew steps from the station and the Old Bridge( Ponte Vecchio). We had a spacious and clean room. Good italian breakfast served in a cafe nearby.

B&b San Frediano Mansion Ingredients for a fabulous time in Florence: stay at San Frediano Mansion, buy Food Lovers Guide to Florence and pick where you want to go, and then get walking directions to restaurants and museums through Google Mapquest. That's it. Try only to eat at the places Emily Wise Miller recommends. This formula works only if you are obsessed with food and only want the best priced most typical Tuscan food to cross your lips. Also, the hotel is not an American new hotel. There are 4 keys you have to figure out how to use, but if you like the idea of staying in an old mansion with lots of charm you might love it like we did.
