The Hotel Mediterraneo has 63 large, bright, soundproof rooms fitted with every form of comfort: air conditioning, minibar, cable and satellite TV, pay TV, computer outlet, Internet connection and safety deposit box large enough to hold portable computers. Four rooms are fitted out for disabled guests.

Furnished with taste and simplicity, the rooms welcome guests with warm, bright colors typical of the Mediterranean and this magnificent land. Each room has a private bathroom with shower or bath tub, each one with a pretty, useful courtesy set, personalized bathrobes and hairdryer.

The rooms, 16 of which are reserved for non smokers come in various kinds, thought out to meet every kind of need: single, twin, double, triple. Almost all the rooms have a pretty balcony.

The Hotel Mediterraneo is very close to Via Etnea, at the heart of Catania, one of the symbolic cities of Sicilian baroque. The hotel is situated in a highly strategic position and is the perfect point from which to discover this surprising city.

Travel information

By plane From Catania "Fontanarossa" airport there are two ways of reaching the Hotel Mediterraneo:

- by private taxi, you will be dropped right outside the Hotel in via Dottor Consoli, no. 27. The hotel is 7km from the airport and by taxi takes about 15 minutes.

- by taking the AMT no. 457 bus and getting off in Via Etnea (tenth stop), before the crossroads with Via Pacini. From here, walk to the the crossroads and turn left and go along Via Cimarosa until you reach the crossing with Via Androne. Take Via Androne and then turn left into Via Dottor Consoli where you will find the Hotel Mediterraneo at no. 27.

By train From the Main Station, you can take the AMT no. 457 bus or a taxi (journey time: 5 minutes). If you take the no. 457 bus, get off in Via Etnea before the crossroads with Via Pacini. From here, walk to the the crossroads and turn left and go along Via Cimarosa until you reach the crossing with Via Androne. Take Via Androne and then turn left into Via Dottor Consoli where you will find the Hotel Mediterraneo at no. 27.

By car From the A18 Catania-Messina highway, take the "Catania centro" exit, go along the whole of Viale Mediterraneo following on to Via Vincenzo Giuffrida (approx. 2 km) until you reach the crossroads with Via Umberto. You will find detailed signs for our hotel all the way along the route. Turn right and go all the way along Via Umberto until you reach the crossroads with Via Etnea; from here, go straight on along via Argentina and at the crossroads with via Sant'Euplio, turn left. Take Via Cimarosa on the right and carry on until you reach Via Androne. A few meters along on your left, take Via Ughetti and follow it until the crossroads with Via Adua; turn right, then right again into via Consoli where you will find the hotel at no. 27. Once you reach the Hotel Mediterraneo, you can park your car in our private garage.
