The 70 rooms of the hotel are placed in the antique rooms of the manor house once belonging to Caterina Visconti, Galeazzo Visconti and Ludovico il Moro, and where Emperor Massimiliano I d'Asburgo stayed. Today they have been remodeled, within the historic atmosphere of the castle, with the technological comforts essential to a modern 4-star hotel between Como and Milan.

The restaurant opens every day except Tuesdays. The opening hours: on Monday and from Wednesday to Friday, from 12:30 to 02:00 pm and from 07:30 to 10:00 pm. On Saturday from 12:30 am to 02:30 pm and from 07:30 to 10:30 pm. On Sunday from 12:30 am to 02:30 pm and from 07:30 to 10:00 pm.

Travel information

By car:

From Milan: follow Via Farini all the way, cross Piazzale Maciachini and follow the directions for the Milan Superhighway/ Meda / Como (S.S. 35). Exit at Lentate Sul Seveso North and follow the directions for Carimate and for the Castello di Carimate (white directional signs). Distance from Lentate North 2 km.
From Switzerland: follow the A2 to the south. Once you have crossed the Italian border at Chiasso, enter highway A9 for Como/Milan. Exit at "Lomazzo" and follow the directions for Cantù/Mariano Comense and at the crossings along the route, for Castello di Carimate. Distance from Lomazzo 10km.

By train: From the Milan Porta Garibaldi station, there is a train every hour for Carimate (route of 40 minutes, Milan - Como line). The hotel is at one kilometer from the station.

By airplane: The hotel is 45 km from the Malpensa airport e a 35 km from the airport of Linate.

From Malpensa: If you have rented a car to reach the Castello di Carimate, follow the directions for highway A8 towards Milan. Before Milan take highway A9 for Como / Chiasso and exit at Lomazzo. Follow the directions for Carimate / Castello di Carimate. If you choose public transportation, take the shuttle bus for Milan to the central station. From here, take Metropolitana line 2 (green) to the Porta Garibaldi station (2 stops) and finally a train for Carimate (route 35 / 40 minutes). As an alternative, take the train shuttle for Milan to the train station of Piazza Cadorna; from here, take the Metropolitana towards Porta Garibaldi and take the train for Carimate. The hotel is one kilometer from the station.
Da Linate: If you have rented a car, take the Tangenziale east, follow the directions for the Tangenziale north, quindi quelle for Como (SS 35). Exit at Lentate on Seveso North and follow the directions for Carimate and for the Castello di Carimate (white directional signs). Using public transportation, take one of the shuttles to the Milan central station. Take Metropolitana line 2 (green) to the Milan Porta Garibaldi station and continue as in the point By train.

Castello Di Carimate The hotel is completely under construction! Was an awful experience. This hotel is not even close to being a 4 star property. First room i was offered in the "castle" was more like a dungeon. Fortunately, there were some spare rooms and i was given a larger space with a window.

Castello Di Carimate Huisserie des chambres en très mauvais état (valable pour le fenêtre et les volets : ne ferment pas ou ne s'ouvrent pas ). Décoration quelconque des salles de bain. Certains équipement de la salle de bain en mauvais état. Aspect lugubre de la galerie intérieure (baies vitrées sales et rembardes sales). Peu d'enthousiasme du personnel (sauf un), et beaucoup de maladresses . Musique tonitruante à la réception. Petit déjeuner quelconque (entre autre, pain minable et mauvais goût du chocolat). Niveau faible des plats servis au restaurant.

Castello Di Carimate Tout repose sur l'originalité du lieu et le coté pratique de la chambre; passer une nuit dans un chateau du moyen age préservé est surprenant et agréable. De plus, sa proximité de COMO et du lac est pratique. Enfin, le prix est trés raisonnable. La chambre famille était constituée de 2 chambres séparées, d'une salle de bain, et d'un hall d'entré. Le confort était convenable pour ce type de lieu. En revanche le petit dejeuner était trés moyen et peu copieux.

Castello Di Carimate Miserabel beschilderte Anfahrt ohne gps. Sehr imposantes Bauwerk, mit wunderschönem Eingang, mit Zugbrücke und Tor, sehr schönes Design der Lobby. Hotel hat sich auf Anlässe spezialisiert. Zwei Tage / drei Hochzeiten. Das Zimmer war sehr ringhörig, sehr.

Castello Di Carimate Wir fanden es vom Ambiente noch schöner als wir erwartet hatten. Die direkte Hotel-Umgebung war sehr ruhig und es gab im kleinen Ort Carimate nette (wenn auch wenige) Restaurants bzw. Bars. Am Wochenende ist mit Veranstaltungen zu rechnen, so hatten wir z.B. samtags eine Hochzeit und sonntags ein Firmen-Event im Hotel. Spätestens ab 23:30 Uhr war jedoch alles wieder ruhig. Eigentlich sollte man das Hotel nicht so gut bewerten, damit es ein Geheimtipp bleibt.

Castello Di Carimate Wir sind schon nach einer Übernachtung abgereist. Das Hotel war eine grosse Enttäuchung. Nach Ihre Informationen meint man, dass die Swimmingpool sowie die Golfplatz zum Hotel gehört. Aber nein man musste durch eine abgeschlossene Tor gehen um zu der Pool zu kommen, dann musste man zu der Reception im Golfhaus gehen um dort eine Ticket für das uralte Swimmbad zu kaufen - 15 Euro per Person - also 60 Euro pro Tag für 4 Personen, und dann hat man nicht mal Badetücher gekriegt. Das Hotel selber war einfach vernachlässigt.

Castello Di Carimate Übermäßig schmutzig, mehr Tagungshotel als für Urlauber, trotz großem Grundstück keine Liegewiese etc. Pool gehört NICHT zum Hotel, sondern zum Golfplatz, Preis pro Tag und Person zusätzlich 15.- €!! Nasszelle schimmlig und abgewohnt, Frühstück mangelhaft.
