The Euro House Inn Airport Hotel is located in Fiumicino, one of the most important archaeological area in the vicinity of Rome, where you can visit the Necropoli dell'Isola Sacra, a burial ground dating back to the I century D.C and the Porto, which was built under the ruling of Emperor Traiano. It is still possible to see the dock-yard of the so called Lago di Traiano ( Trajan lake) with its hexagonal shape that could house 200 ships. There is also the Museo delle Navi Romane, Roman Naval Museum which displays remains of fishing and cargo vessels found in archaeological excavations during the airport's construction.

The Scavi di Ostia Antica (excavations of Ostia Antica) are 2 km from the Euro House Inn Airport Hotel. The area stretches for approximately fifty acres between Roman ruins dating between 200BC and 300AD. Of considerable importance are the CASERMA (FIRE STATION OF 90 D.C) once involved in extinguishing the numerous fires, theTheatre Teatro built in 196 D.C, which could host up to 400 people, and the Domus dei Dioscuri with its beautiful mosaic floors of the little spas.

Travel information

BY AIR: Fiumicino International Airport is only two kilometers away from the Euro House Inn. We recommend that our guests reserve the shuttle service to reach the hotel, or that they take a taxi outside of the Fiumicino Airport.

BY TRAIN: from Termini Rome Station, take a train for Fiumicino Airport (Leonardo Express or another train). From the Fiumicino Airport Station, follow the directions described above to reach the Euro House Inn. 

BY CAR

From the North: From the super highway A1, and from the Grande Raccordo Anulare (GRA), follow the directions for Fiumicino Airoport. Once you arrive at the airport, follow the directions for Ostia-Fiumicino, and you will come upon the following three exits: Fiumicino Nord, Fiumicino Centro and finally Fiumicino Sud. This last exit is the exit to take for reaching the Euro House Inn. Just after taking the exit, turn left and go straight on for approximately one kilometer, and you will find us on the right side of the street.

From the South: From the super highway A1, and from the Grande Raccordo Anulare (GRA), follow the directions for Fiumicino Airport, and then follow the directions as described above.

About the property We were very disapointed. The bed was very hard, so I decided to sleep on the Sofa bed instead. The sofa bed started to fold up when I lay on it. My wife was so uncomfortable. She got bitten by some insects in the room, there was hair on the sheets, so she refuse to lay in the bed and sat on a chair all night. I was too tired, so i slept on the sofa bed up woke up with a stiff neck that morning. The staff were very nice when i sign but I thought the condition was atrocious.

About the property The hotel staff needs to prepare better directions to the hotel for visitors. We had to call 3 times, and still did not find the hotel. We found it by accident!

About the property Very nice check-in staff. He showed us a new room and helped move our bags after our first room's AC wasn't turning on. The second room was very nice.

About the property 1. The gentleman at the front desk in the evening when we were there was extremely helpful and kind to us. 2. There were a few things in the room that needed attention like the hair dryer appeared to be non-operational with the blower portion separated from the unit (we didn't bother to try it) and the hook for the tie back for the curtain in the bedroom had been repaired but not repainted (the plaster repair was showing) and the shower stall did not drain well at all. 3. We were farther from the airport than I had expected from the internet description and as I recall, the internet indicated that a shuttle was available. The shuttle was provided, but at an additional charge and it was not easily obtained. I was told a "10 minute wait" yet we waited for over an hour before it arrived to pick us up along with other passengers. Had I known that there was an additional charge for the shuttle, I likely would have chosen another hotel, one that actually was closer to the airport. 4. The location was so out of the way that for us, without transportation, there were very few choices for where we might have dinner that night. The hotel has brochures for the one restaurant in the area all over the place, with multiple brochures in the room and several in the lobby as well.

About Traveleurope I honestly don't know if I'd recommend this or not. Our experience was that it didn't quite work out for us but it might for others with different needs.

About the property The staff was considerate, nice & gave good directions. There isn't much to do in the town. Wish we had more time to explore. The restaurant advice was good. Hotel felt secure. Only concern I had was the broken window on the sliding glass door & the bathroom window. The sliding glass door was hard to operate & I didn't want the window to break out.

About the property The hotel was better than more expensive ones I have stayed in Italy. Above all it was very clean and neat. Very spacious, would have suited small family very well. Also woulod be great if one was there for a few days as there was a kitchenette. Only small problem is that the website indicated there was free internet, but this is not the case. I pointed this out to the receptionist, who then gave me some free time on the net. Hopefully they will fix the website so that it is clear upfront as to what one gets. Internet access is actually 3.50 euros per hour, which again is not that expensive compared to another place where I stayed and it was 0.35 euros per minute!

About the property The staff on day shift was not very helpful. She was not very friendly. The staff during the second and late night shift were very cooperative and helpful with directions, eating places, taxi rides, etc. Strongly suggest you arrange a reasonable rate for ride to the airport from Hotel (shuttle) - $20 is OK but not $40 - it is absolutely a high way robbery! Otherwise, we were pleased.
