It is luminous and very elegant and from the lake it appears very welcoming to the guests. The façade of Grand Hotel Gardone is majestic very picturesque and refined for that period.

Gardone Riviera, often called the ‘garden city’ of the west coast of Lake Garda, is also the city of the poet Gabriele D’Annunzio’.The natural attractions of Gardone are many. They’re complimented by the Hruska botanical gardens, the cultural offerings of the open air theatre of the Vittoriale and the events programme of Villa Alba. The luxuriant vegetation barely conceals beautiful villas, grand hotels, parks, gardens and picturesque little streets, called contrade. The peaceful, pretty lakeside makes Gardone a veritable open air drawing room or salon of the Garda riviera. The natural attractions of Gardone are many. They’re complimented by the Hruska botanical gardens; the cultural offerings of the open air theatre of the Vittoriale and the events programme of Villa Alba

The rooms are very comfortable and spacious with balcony and lake view; all have been furnished to a very high standard.

The refined and welcoming dining room, with its splendid lake view, offers excellent traditional cusine and international dishes. It is also available a restaurant with veranda along the lake and terrace.

Grand Hotel Gardone Von Lage und Größe, vorhandenem Personal und Servicebereitschaft ein echtes Grand Hotel. Der Charme ergibt sich auch daraus, dass nicht alles perfekt ist. Das Mobiliar des Frühstückrestaurantes, insbesondere der Terrasse zeigt Spuren von leichter Verwitterung, eher schlichtes Porzellan, einfaches Chromagan-Besteck, normale Papierservietten, aber das traumhafte Ambiente, die unmittelbare Nähe des Sees, das Farbenspiel der morgendlichen Sonne, das mit Stolz und Aufmerksamkeit beflissene Servicepersonal geben einem als Gast ein großartiges Gefühl, in Gediegenheit zu leben. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist eher von schlichter Eleganz: konfektionierte Säfte und Konfitüren, andererseits sehr schmackhafte Biobrote und ein traumhafter Obstsalat. Wurst, Käse und Rührei in Standardformat. Berücksichtigt man die speziellen Frühstücksgewohnheiten des Landes, ist dies sicher schon mehr als normal, dennoch kein Vergleich zu den paradiesischen und von Überfluß gekennzeichneten Arrangements in einem Robinson oder Aldiana Club. Schade nur, dass in einem solchen Premium-Hotel die Internetnutzung grundsätzlich gebührenpflichtig ist. Die in einem schmucken Saal angeordneten Rechner sollten für meinen Geschmack erlauben, dass kurze Abfragen (emails, Wetter, Börse etc), also Nutzung unter 5 min, ruhig im Preis inbegriffen sein können.
