Porta Romana

The area of Porta Romana, is crossed by the highway that connects Florence to Siena and Rome and it is also, nowadays, an important way of access to the city centre through Via Romana or Via de' Serragli. In 1998 the stretch of walls between Porta Romana and Piazza Tasso was opened, from here you will have a good overview of the Boboli Garden and of the southern bank of the Arno river.
