Rome Accommodation

Rome has several possibilities of accommodation on offer. As the city is liable to a continuous flow of tourists and pilgrims, we suggest to book your lodging in advance.
Rome Hotels usually differenciate their rates depending on the season: good bargains can be picked up in the low season such as winter time, and especially after Christmas when less tourists visit the Eternal City.

In Rome you would be able to choose among a great variety of accommodations: Historical hotels, Former Monasteries, Bed & Breakfast, Apartments, Aristocratic Villas turned into Hotels.
Some of the most exclusive small Hotels of the City are located nearby the Spanish Steps, traditionally the tourists' favourite area. Similar accomodatations are also available in the City Centre, West of Via del Corso, around the Vatican City and in the lively Trastevere Quarter. For more demanding tourists, the Via Veneto area offers several luxury hotels. But if you are just a passing tourist on business trip, the area around the Roma Termini Railway Station can offer you a huge choice of cheap hotels.
Don't understimate the so-called Bed and Breakfast, offering rooms at more convenient prices. But if you really wish to merge into the Roman life stile, even if for few days, an apartment would be the best option.

When to visit Rome

Both springtime (April-May) and early autumn (October-November) are good periods to visit Rome: the countryside scenery is really beautiful, the temperature is pleasant and the city is not particularly crowded. Winter is a good time to come, too: the weather is not extremely cold, the city is not packed with tourists and prices are more affordable(everything is on sale!). Please, try to avoid the second and the third week of August: most Italians are on holidays and many shops remain closed.

What to see in Rome

“ Rome wasn't built in a day”, as the saying goes. Its rich artistic, historical, and cultural patrimony can't be visited in a day, either. Be ready for an extraordinary walk through history: temples, basilicas, churches, parks, museums and fountains are waiting to be discovered and to offer you the most exciting experience of your life. Don't forget its surroundings: many historical towns worth visiting can be easily reached from Rome.
