The hotel building was built in the 1950, and turned into a hotel only in 1963, completely restructured in the 2000. Ideal setting for both relaxing and business trips alike. Family run hotel providing welcoming and professional service, the hotel Ambra Palace is considered one of the favourite reference for the frequent travellers visiting Pescara.
The hotel Ambra Palace, privately owned since 1963, is located 300mt from the sea, in the touristic and commercial centre of Pescara, not far from the railway station, the airport, and motorway. Recently renovated, provides restaurant, meeting room, laundry facilities and private garage.

Meeting room available for 45 seats people, supply tv, video recorder, screen, overhead projector and mobile sheets blackboard.

Romantic week-end, friday-saturday-sunday ( for only one night also) from 01/06/2009 to 31/08/2009 excluded, we will glad to offer You a little good bottle of sparkling wine and one delicious sweet to heat in the room, please mention "Romantic wee-end " at the reservation.

Hotel Ambra Palace has 61 rooms all with private bathroom and facilities such as satellite tv, pay tv with Sky Tv, direct dialing telephone service, air dryers and air condition. Some rooms with balcony. We also offer a free wifi internet access in all rooms. Room service available 24hrs free of charge.

We have a tariffs agreement with a restaurant close to the hotel and we have also a H/B and F/B services opportunity in the Restaurants mentioned. Only for the Ambra Palace Guests, restaurants nearby (100mt.) with tariffs agreement are availables, "Suggestion meat standard Menu" (1st course, 2nd course, vegetables, 1/2 mineral water, 1/4 wine) euro 18.00.

Travel information

The hotel it’s situated in the touristic and commercial centre of pescara 250 mt from the railway and bus station, 300mt from the beach nearest the aiport (4km), the tourist port, 200km from rome and 40km from renowned eucaristic miracle in lanciano city. It’s good connected with the most important motorway junction as a-14 from north and south of italy and a-25 from rome.

Coming from the north side, use the highway exit ‘cittasant’angelo’ pescara nord junction to continue into ‘pescaracentro (city centre)’ direction. Just right before the central railway station make a left turn in ‘via quarto dei mille’.

Coming from south side, use the highway pescara ovest- chieti junction to continue in ‘pescaracentro (city centre)’ direction until you find the main road ‘corso vittorio emanuele’ . Drive pass the railway station and turn right on the second street ‘via quarto dei mille’. Arriving from rome the exit will be ‘pescara-chieti’.

From the railway station you have to continue straight-on and pass trought the bus station, turn left in the north direction in Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, when You arrive in proximity to the big round-about with the olive tree in the middle, turn right in via quarto dei mille.(distance from the railway station, only 5 minutes walking).

From the Tourist Port You have to turn right and continue for the city centre direction,You will find Corso vittorio Emanuele main road and will have to continue in the north direction, in the proximity of the Big round about with the olive tree in the middle You will turn right via quarto dei mille , at the number 28 we are (estimated time driving 7 minutes / walking 25 minutes).

Reach us by bus n° 38 in 10 minutes from the airport, the bus stop is just round the old railway station(in front of the new railway station) or by taxi.

with the car hire: outside of the abruzzo airport turn left in the city centre direction(2km) reach the main streets Viale Marconi and Corso Vittorio Emanuele and turn left in the nord direction(2km), You must reach the big roundabout with the olive tree in the middle, turn rigth in via Quarto dei Mille.

Hotel Ambra Palace Friendly staff and good continental breakfast supplied as part of the cost. Location of the hotel is very central and well located to transport. Street signs make the hotel easy to find. Because I stayed for a week I was given a double bed even though I only booked a single room. Bathroom is a generous size.

Hotel Ambra Palace Rooms are a little small.

Hotel Ambra Palace We ended up at the Hotel Ambra Palace because the Hotel Carlton cancelled our reservation (we'd certainly not have good things to say about THEM!) Therefor, we can't really answer Q. 7 above. Although we were looking for a four-star hotel, and the Ambra Palace was only three stars, nonetheless we found it comfortable and adequate for our purposes. There were nice touches, such as paintings and oriental rugs in the halls, that lent the hotel a certain charm. The staff were friendly and generally helpful. The biggest negatives were simply the lack of services and facilities (e.g. no porters, not good IT set-up, small bathrooms, small elevator, lack of proximate parking facilities. However, within its category, the hotel gave good value for the money.

Hotel Ambra Palace Rooms quality / maintenance: I was in room 104. The wall paper was coming off the wall due to a moisture problem. The air conditioning system was weak but acceptable.
