Pastel shades, Venetian stuccoes, glass wall lamps made on Murano, furnishings which, while being functional, recall the glorious Serenissima epoch: these are the elements of the new hall and bar, completely mirrored on marvellous Istria stone. Right at the center of the hotel is an original glass cupola creating light effects which highlight its sophistication. The elegant Bar Carlton Café offers you the chance to taste excellent drinks and whet your appetite with unusual snacks both in the internal room and in the open-air, enjoying an unforgettable stay on the Grand Canal.

Hotel Carlton On The Grand Canal I had a double room which was tiny . Looking on to a brick wall. I was very dispapointed condisering hotel bosts 100 rooms overlooking canal. I think this was because it was a single booking. Why should single travellers be treated like this !!!! This is the sort of room that a tour guide would normally get, why me a full paying guest!

Hotel Carlton On The Grand Canal I enjoyed the Carlton & Gran Canal Hotel very much. The room was decorated tastfully, plus was very quiet. The bathroom was roomy, as well. We stayed on the back side of the hotel, and we were told upon check-in that you need to request canal-side rooms when making reservations if that is truly what you want. It didn't matter much, since we saw the canals plenty throughout the day as we were walking about Venice. I would definitely stay here again. The breakfast included each morning was very good, too. The location near the train station was a very big plus - just over the bridge and down about 3 buildings!

Hotel Carlton On The Grand Canal Coffee was very bad. Bread terrible. The breakfast could be varied a bit. I know the coffee is like this because of the U.S.A customers, but we are in Europe.
