The Central Hotel Sorrento has a great location - close to the city centre, and has splendid views over the bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius from its roof-top terrace. The newly renovated building employs the use of Bio-Architecture; the exterior walls are finished with natural materials, which combine excellent anti-humidity and non-toxic properties. The hotel has got an open-air pool surrounded by plants and flowers (open from May to September), tennis court, and parking (to be paid), courtesy bus free of charge and internet point. The Central Hotel has been renovated in 2002 according to a Bio-architectural technology, using natural materials that helps customers having a relaxing and special stay. Beauty body treatments are available for guests' convenience while a variety of sporting possibilities are available in the fitness club making it easy for the guests to enjoy benefits for both body and mind! The hotel also has a tennis court for guests use.

60 rooms, finely furnished are equipped with every modern comfort.

The hotel restaurant offers traditional and international dishes, and use top class products. It is possible to taste sorrentine and neapolitan specialities, fine pastries, made by the chefs. Vegetarian and gluten free menus.

Travel information

By car: from Rome to Sorrento, it takes about 2 1/2 hours ( 245 KM). Take the motor-way direction Naples then follow direction Penisola Sorrentina , when you arrive in Castellamare ( the exit after Pompei ) follow always direction Sorrento. Just before the entrance of Sorrento , you will see on the left side up on the hill Hotel Cristina. You will find Hotel Central 250 meters on the right side after the entrance of Sorrento.

By train: from Rome ,take the train Rome- Naples. From the train station in Naples take the train (CIRCUMVESUVIANA line ) that runs frequently (quite every 30 minutes from 5.00 to 22.30 ) from Naples to Sorrento. It takes about one hour , the cost is circa euro 3,50 per person.

By bus: from Rome you can take the bus that leaves from Roma Stazione Tiburtina at 15.00 (only on workdays) and arrives in Sorrento at 18.45 , the cost is Euro 15,50 per person. (there is also a bus leaving at 7.00 a.m. only on sundays). From Naples' airport to Sorrento there is also a bus , it takes about one hour the cost is ca. euro 6,0 per person.

Hotel Central Room had a balcony and a nice view of the bay. Food was very good and tasty. Good facilities and amenities. We were happy about the wellness centre, staff were very professional and attentive. We had a very relaxing holiday and we would definetely return.

Hotel Central Situato a 15 minuti dal centro di Sorrento. Le camere non erano grandissime, ma funzionali e pulite. Colazione discreta e personale educato.
