Located in the heart of Florence, on one of the most historical streets of the city, Hotel Colomba is situated on the third floor of a characteristic building that dates back to the seventeen-hundreds. Hotel Colomba offers 7 rooms with views overlooking the breathtaking city, as well as many other rooms that gaze upon the internal courtyard. If required, there are 2 rooms with facilities specialized for the disabled.

Breakfast is served in a characteristic “Breakfast Room” enriched with fresh flowers, terracotta floor and wood furnishings. The buffet, always abundant and vast in selection, changes with the seasons and always offers different specialties. There is plenty to choose from every morning: sweet and salty dishes, Italian coffees and fruit juices. If requested, breakfast can be served directly in your room by our staff.

Travel information

By airplane: If you are arriving to Florence by airplane, there are two possible means of reaching Hotel Colomba:

• Use the direct service of “Vola in Bus” that will take you to the Central Train Station Santa Maria Novella in approximately 20 minutes. From there, you can easily arrive to the hotel by walking (about 7 min.) or by public transportation (about 2 min.) such as one of the many busses that pass along Via Cavour: no. 1, 7, 10 or 17.
• Take a private taxi – It takes approximately 20 minutes time to reach Hotel Colomba from the airport.

By train: If you are arriving by train, there are several easy solutions for reaching the hotel (approx. 600 meters from the Central Train Station S.M.N.):

• Arrive by walking: Cross Piazza della Stazione and enter onto Via Panzani (direction Duomo). Continue ahead for Via dei Cerretani and turn left onto Via Cavour.
• Take a taxi
• Take one of the following busses that pass directly along Via Cavour: no. 1, 7, 10 or 17

By car: If you are arriving to Florence by private transportation, you may use the parking garage in collaboration with our hotel. Please contact us for rate information.

• If you are arriving from the South: exit at "Firenze South" and follow indications for "centro". Once you have reached the traffic lights at the end of Lungarno del Tempo, turn right and continue towards Piazza Beccaria. Continue your journey along Viale Gramsci and viale Matteotti towards the direction of Piazza della Libertà. Follow the round-about and turn right onto Via Cavour (it will be the 2nd street on your right). Follow the street straight along and after passing Piazza San Marco, the hotel is at approximately 100 mt distance. 
• If you are arriving from the North: exit at "Firenze Nord" and follow indications for "centro". Once you have reached the Fortezza da Basso, enter onto Via Lavagnini and continue until you have reached Piazza della Libertà. Turn right onto Via Cavour (it will be the 2nd street on your right). Follow the street straight along and after passing Piazza San Marco, the hotel is at approximately 100 mt distance.
