Casamicciola's innate hospitality, worthy of its Greek ancestors and a typical characteristic of the island style, has always been a distinctive feature of the Hotel Coralba. In the past, its warmth has been appreciated by personalities from the worlds of culture and entertainment, including singer/songwriter Lucio Dalla and actor Massimo Troisi. But the most important reason for the fame of the hotel, which was opened in 1970, is that its location was once the summer home of philosopher Benedetto Croce, who usually spent his vacations here with his family.

The first thing that strikes you when you arrive at the Hotel Coralba is the stupendous roof garden where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Gulf of Casamicciola and where you can relax in a lounge chair contemplating the beauty of the sea and Vesuvius during happy hour, cheered by a creative cocktail or a delicious snack or where, if you wish, you can eat lunch or breakfast. Next to the roof garden, there's a scenic solarium for undisturbed sunbathing on the beach beds in addition to a modern Jacuzzi spa.

Antonio Bernasconi is waiting to serve you a drink from his well-stocked bar, which is open from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm. All the Hotel Coralba's services have been designed to make its guests as comfortable as possible and they are completed by a satellite TV room, reading room, ample, convenient private parking and arrangements with two of the most famous hot spring spas on the island.

lthough it's a small and family-run, the Hotel Coralba has comfortable rooms that allow for a pleasant, relaxing stay. In fact, all the rooms have private bathrooms with shower and hair dryer, color television, direct-dial telephone with Internet access (ADSL line in room and WI-FI zone) and air-conditioning. "Superior" rooms, all in the central building, include a view of the sea and a scenic terrace, personal beach beds and a table with chairs and umbrella. The original Seventies decor provides an additional dash of whimsy to the atmosphere of the sitting room. In addition, guests can enjoy breakfast in their rooms as well as taking advantage of exclusive wellness treatments provided by the Hotel Coralba's staff.

Food & Beverage

Healthy, homemade cooking at the Hotel Coralba, which is a real attraction for its increasingly varied and demanding clientele, is fully representative of the island's traditional hospitality and Mediterranean warmth. At age 70, Aunt Agnese takes expert charge of the restaurant's kitchen; her decades of proven experience is a guarantee of satisfaction for guests who are looking for authentic, delicious cooking. The entire tradition of Ischian and Neapolitan specialties and the flavors of traditional local products can be found in the delicacies that the cooks offer every day: they range from a rice and tomato "sartù" to seafood, rabbit pasta Ischia style, baked vegetables stuffed with buffalo mozzarella and peppers and triumphant deserts of ice cream and "babà al rhum" and the limoncello liqueur distilled on the island. All, obviously, accompanied by a carefully selected wine list.

By plane

From the Naples Capodichino International Airport, take the bus for Molo Beverello in Naples. From here, take a hydrofoil or ferry to the island of Ischia. Disembark at Casamicciola Terme (or Ischia Porto) and, from the port of Piazza Marina, take a taxi, or one of the island's micro-taxi's, to the Hotel Coralba or a bus number 3, 4 or 14. Ask the driver where to get off for the Hotel Coralba and the stop is just 30 meters from the hotel. From Ischia Porto, take bus no. 3 for Casamicciola directly to the hotel (the stop is 30 meters from the hotel).

By Train

Arrive at one of Naples two stations: Centrale Garibaldi or Napoli Campi Flegrei. The closest port to Stazione Centrale Garibaldi is Naples - Molo Beverello. From here, there are hydrofoils and ferries to the island of Ischia. Disembark at Casamicciola Terme (or Ischia Porto) and, from the port of Piazza Marina, take a taxi, or one of the island's micro-taxi's, to the Hotel Coralba or a bus number 3, 4 or 14. Ask the driver where to get off for the Hotel Coralba and the stop is just 30 meters from the hotel. The closest port to Stazione Campi Flegrei is Naples Mergellina. From here, there passenger-only hydrofoils (no cars). Disembark at Casamicciola Terme (or Ischia Porto) and, from the port of Piazza Marina, take a taxi, or one of the island's micro-taxi's, to the Hotel Coralba or a bus number 3, 4 or 14. Ask the driver where to get off for the Hotel Coralba and the stop is just 30 meters from the hotel. From Ischia Porto, take bus no. 3 for Casamicciola directly to the hotel (the stop is 30 meters from the hotel).

By Car

Reach Naples by the principal motorways. You can embark with your car at the ports of Pozzuoli (recommended) and Molo Beverello in the center of Naples. To reach the port of Pozzuoli, take the ring road (tangenziale) towards Pozzuoli, exit 12 “Via Campana,” and follow the signs for the “Porto”. To reach Molo Beverello, take the ring road (tangenziale) and follow the signs for “Zona Portuale” and, at the exit, follow the signs for the Porto/Molo Beverello”. From either port, disembark at Casamicciola Terme. From the pier, turn left and continue for 500 meters. Pass the gas station and take the second right. From here, follow the signs for Sentinella-La Rita/Hotel Coralba. Alternatively, disembark at Ischia Port and take the state highway to Casamicciola (4 km). When you reach the seaside promenade, turn left at the stop sign (with directional arrows to all the hotels) before entering the center of Casamicciola. From here, follow the signs all the way to the hotel.
