Hotel Garda Our room was comfortable and quiet, overlooking a courtyard. Very nice bathroom. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, and there was good service in the breakfast room and bar. The hotel is in an excellent location for travellers, only a few minutes from the Central station and the bus to the airport at Malpensa - no need for taxis here! it is a longer walk to the centre, but easily done in half an hour or so.

Hotel Garda The room was small but perfect for a sole travler. It had a big bathroom for European standards. It was very clean. Really nice and very helpful people. Easily walkable from train station and 1/2 block from city train. Yellow line straight into the city center and to the Duomo. It is actually easily walkable as well 20 minute walk. It also close to a nice shopping street as well as a grocery store if needed. I stayed four nights and they went out of their way to be helpful. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Hotel Garda I chose this hotel due to its proximity to Milano Centrale. I had a late flight into Milano Malpensa Airport and had to take a train the next day, so I was looking for a place conveniently close to the train station. Hotel Garda was perfect in that respect, located within a 5 minute walk from the station. Pros: the staff at the front desk speaks perfect English (from what I overheard, they also spoke very good German, which is not too common in Italian hotels) and were very helpful as I had a few questions regarding my subsequent trip. Breakfast is included! Cons: the restaurant is quite tiny and has only a few tables. I thought it got crowded too fast the following morning, to an extent that it became a bit uncomfortable staying in there.

Hotel Garda The staff at the hotel were wondeful and very helpful speaking english where we lacked the Italian. However our chief problem with the hotel was that the weather was very hot during our stay and whereas the hotel advertised air conditioning we were informed that they have not switched it on yet as some of the guests still prefer heating; this resulted in us having a very hot and uncomfortable night. THis does need to be addressed so that what is advertised is the same as what is actually offered. Other than that the place was fine for our purposes.
