From the railway station S.Lucia walk down the Lista di Spagna, about 100mt. Turn left at Calle della Misericordia (the 2nd one).

From the autopark Tronchetto and Piazzale Roma: busboat and get off at Ferrovia (rail station) or 5 minutes walking.

From the airport M. Polo bus to Piazzale Roma then 5 minutes walking or get the boat to Ferrovia.

About the property The hotel room was nice and was as advertised, but the desk help was inconsistent. Our wake up call was supposed to be at 8am, but the night shift noted it incorrectly as 9am, which would have made us late for our flight had we not awoken on our own. Breakfast was light, considering we paid 240EUR for the room. Was not bad, but not worth the money.

About the property Il Mercante di Venezia was perfect for our stay! Location is extremely convenient - a VERY short walk to the Santa Lucia (main) train station and water bus stop. Room was lovely and breakfast good. We'd definitely stay there again! Tip for getting around Venice, buy the 12-hour waterbus pass (think it was 12 euros). It's a really fun, cheap way to get around, perfect if you want to go to the other islands or just rest your feet getting to/from Piazza San Marco.
