This XIX century Villa is located in the heart of Italy, in an area of Tuscany overflowing in historical character and ancient tradition: Chiusi with its Etruscan heritage is only 5 km away, Pienza, the unique landscape of the Valley Orcia, Siena, Cortona, Orvieto and Montalcino, with its world famous wine, “Brunello”, are all within a short distance.

The Hotel disposed furthermore of 2 meeting rooms with capacity 25 and 300 persons.

For the dining pleasure of the Guests, Hotel Il Patriarca has two choices:  the elegant gourmet restaurant "I Salotti" featuring a Noble Tuscan cuisine which receives a Star Michelin from 2003, and "La Taverna del Patriarca", atypical osteria located in the antique wine cellars which offers the best of local Tuscan tradition. Chiusi (5 km) is a very important etruscan town,as can be seen fom the remains on show in the museum and the large necropolis.

Montepulciano (20 km) is situated at the sommit of the hill dominating the south of tuscany and Umbria.It is considered the pearl of the reinassance for the many 16th century palaces and San Biagio Temple .

Pienza (30 km) is a small and elegant reinassance town.

Bagno Vignoni (32km) is a lovely medieval Spa town dominating the estuary of the river Orcia.

San Quirico d'Orcia (38 km) is a medieval town where the warm sulphur-rich waters run into reinassance -era pool.

Montalcino (48 km) is a fascinating town surrounded by fortified walls,in a dominant position overlooking vine and olive filled countryside.The red wine produced here, brunello, is evry famous troughout the world.

An other important town,only 7 km away, is Chianciano Terme famous for the spring waters known for their theraupeutic properties. It's the ideal location for shopping or relaxing in the spa's gardens.

There is also Castiglione del Lago (20km) one of the towns named"most beautiful in Italy"as well as Citta'della Pieve (10 km) Orvieto (20km) and only an hour away, Arezzo, Perugia and Siena.
