“Ottima ubicazione.
Group - United Kingdom, April 2011

Laid out over three floors, Hotel Lirico is housed in a historical late nineteenth-century palace built in neo-renaissance style. A simple and elegant staircase leads into the hotel, up to the lounge, which is decorated with floral fabrics and modern wooden furniture. Every corner is decorated with stucco cornices and fabric-lined walls; a convenient elevator is available for all our guests.
Our 35 rooms are all furnished with care and attention, using rich fabrics in bright hues. Perfectly sound-proofed, they are equipped with individually controlled air-conditioning and heating, direct telephone, safe, satellite TV and Pay TV. The bathrooms, with bath or shower-bath, are equipped with a convenient hairdryer. Here your nights are tranquil and serene, as if you were a guest at a friend's house. For families or small groups, communicating rooms are available. The Hotel Lirico's two suites are available for guests who demand a superior level of class.
In the hotel bar guests can relax with a cup of coffee or an aperitif.
Before setting out for a day's pleasure or business, guests can enjoy the specialties included in the Continental Buffet in the breakfast room, consisting of delightful Italian savoury dishes and pastries.
Convenient to the Via Nazionale, the Hotel Lirico is located on Via del Viminale, leading to the Piazza, home of the Department of the Interior, and to the Piazza dei Cinquecento, which overlooks the Roma Termini train station. Near Rome's Teatro dell'Opera, the hotel occupies an enviable location for those who are interested in attending artistic and musical events at one of the most famous theatres in the world, where artists such as Toscanini, Metha, Solti, Sinopoli, Rostropovich have taken the podium. Only steps away from the Hotel Lirico is the Palazzo Massimo, the heart of Rome's National Museum, home of one of the most important collections of sculpture and ancient paintings in the entire capital. Only a short walk away, guests can discover the massive beauty of Santa Maria degli Angeli church, the archaeological collections in the Diocletian Baths and the sacred space of the Santa Maria Maggiore church. In the Piazza della Repubblica, not far from the hotel, is an authentic jewel of Roman architecture from the imperial era: the Sala Ottagonale ("Octagonal Room") in the Diocletian Baths, which features the famous "Pugile" (pugilist) (one of the few original perfectly conserved Greek bronzes. From the nearby Termini and Repubblica subway stations it is easy to reach the city's most famous monuments, and most important government, institutional and cultural buildings. The hotel is located in the very heart of the city yet in a low-traffic area. Hotel Lirico Enjoyed our time during our stay in Rome. The hotel is ideally located being central to the main town location. Map provided by hotel proved invaluable when walking around the various locations and sights. The map grids made it easy to find the places. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and gave good useful advice and tips with regards to local restaurants. The room was suitable and provided all amentities for the two of us however there was evidence of water leaking from the sink in the ensuite which at times gave a odour similar to dampness. Breakfast was very enjoyable and whilst what was on offer was pretty similar each morning provided a welcome start to the day. All in all the holiday was very enjoyable and we would have no hestitation with returning to the hotel and have actually recommended this hotel to a colleague in work who intends visiting Rome in Jan 2006.
