Hotel Monopole is strategically situated near Central Railway Station, airports’ shuttle bus terminal (Linate, Malpensa, Bergamo Ori al Serio), only 20 minutes away from all major transports (Metro 2 and 3 – tramways and buses to anywhere in town) and 15 minutes walk from the historical centre of our town.

Public parking is possible on site (reservation is needed) and costs EUR 15.00 per day

About the property The bathroom smelt so bad I wanted to get sick every time we opened the door. The room we were placed in also was the front of the hotel so the noise from the street was almost unbearable and very inconsistently loud throughout the night. Also although it is located close to the train station, you have to talk past a strip club everytime you want to get to the hotel which seems sketchy enough. I thought I remembered that the hotel was supposed to have flat screen tv's (I could be wrong) but if they were, the only TV we had was a 12 inch tiny old box with one news station on it. It was nice that the hotel offered free internet which seemed to work well. The breakfast was included in the price of the hotel and also had a decent ammount of options and lots of fresh coffee which I appreciated. The rest of the hotel was nice, I only had the complaints from up above.

About Traveleurope Travel Europe seems to have their system down. They were efficient and consistent in what their service promised to deliver. The site needs to get more responses from guests about the hotels they represent so their information is more credible on their site.

About the property Everything is good except that the bathroom cubicle is very small and water leaks out all the way to the room. And there are no where to place even your soap, shampoo, shower gel...etc. But the rest of the room and hotel is clean and well maintain. I can't ask for anything more for the price that I was charged. Would definitely reccomend it to a friend. However, the bell hop cum waiter has a lot to improve on his attitude. When I have no smaller noted to tip him, he immediately shows a "black" face & sulk. For the rest of the times I walked into him in the hotel, he was reluctant to be pleasant. Anyway, I still gave him a tip upon checking out the next day. He immediately changed his behaviour and smile & talk brightly. A little ugly I thought and it has affected my expereince with this hotel.

About Traveleurope I was recommended this hotel at the hotel reservations at the central train station in Rome. Hence I did not see first hand the information posted on the website. It was the gentlemen who helped me search for the hotel that has given me the advise to stay in this hotel. Very thankful to him.

About the property The room was poorly maintained. It looked like it was decorated very cheaply some time in the 70s or 80s. The bathroom was old & tired. There was nothing in the mini bar. I was wolwn up several times by some very noisy pipes. However, it was quite cheap and very close to the station. It just wasn't what I expected based on the online photos. I would not stay here again. But if you want something cheap & close to the station, and don't mind staying in a room that probably looked tired and dreary in the 1980s let alone now, then it's not so bad.

About the property Thank you so much to the front desk, very accomodating and really helpful! For some reason the insulation is not that good. We could hear other rooms noise so loud. Otherwise, Monopole was very convenient and reasonably priced. Thanks, Gracie!!!

About the property Don't let the humble facade and utilitarian reception area daunt you. My wife and I stayed in a superior room that outclassed many four star hotels we have experienced. Good aircon, flatscreen TV, plenty of space by European standards and the best bathroom/shower we have come across. The staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast whilst not up to German and Swiss standard were better than many we have had in Italy. The extra few Euro for the superior room helped make our stay most enjoyable.

About Traveleurope We found your website easy to use and quick to finalise our requirements. The manager at our hotel let us know that he was happy that we chose Traveleurope (a mere fluke, I must confess) as the procedures at his end of the deal were much easier to carry out.

About the property Arrived late at night, very pleasant and helpful staff. Room was spotless spacious and comfortable which was a pleasant surprise after a rather gloomy reception area. Continental breakfast had a good variety. Only stayed one night as en route to Sirmione and needed a night near the train station, but I think the hotel would be a comfortable base for a stay near central Milan.

About the property Location was very convienient to the train station which is why we selected the hotel with a very affordable price. We did not care for the neighborhood. Specifically, the park 1/2 block away. The park is dirty with litter and soiled sidewalks. There are people loitering in the park and we did not feel comfortable walking in the area especially after dark or evening hours. The hotel was very fine; the breakfast comprehensive and tasty.
