Located in the heart of Rome, behind Via Veneto
and just steps away from the Spanish Steps and stylish shopping, "la
dolce vita" awaits you at the Oxford Hotel, a 4 star Hotel that offers
hospitality in Rome since 1964. Hotel Oxford is located in Via
Boncompagni 89, nearby all the main tourist sights: Well known Via
Veneto made famous by Federico Fellini's film "La Dolce Vita", is an
elegant street where it is very pleasant to stop and have a coffee in
one of its characteristic bars. Sitting down or just walking through the
streets, you can see period buildings and historical monuments including
the Aurelian Walls and Queen Margaret's Palace, now the seat of the
American Embassy. Via Veneto leads down to Piazza Barberini, which holds
the famous Tritone Fountain built by Bernini in 1600. The 'A'
underground station can be found beside the square: from there, you can
get to San Pietro within a few minutes. You can easily reach Villa
Borghese with a short walk from our hotel and visit the museum and
Borghese Gallery, where some of Bernini's masterpieces (The Rape of
Persephone, Apollo e Daphne) have at last found a deserving home. You
can reach Piazza di Spagna easily after a pleasant fifteen-minute walk.
The rooms, which have all recently been renovated, are furnished with a
personal warm touch often mirroring many suggestions made by our guests.
Every room holds a bathroom with bath/shower or only a shower, a
telephone with private number, satellite TV, and mini bar.

by combining diverse Mediterranean cultures for many years. Through his
expertise and years of experience, he can also satisfying those who
prefer an impeccable interpretation of international favorites. Fabio's
menus are based on seasonal specialities and are constantly changing. In
our restaurant you will find a peaceful and friendly setting where our
extensive and excellent selection of wines, personally chosen by us to
help you appreciate the best flavors of Italy, can be enjoyed with your
meal. If you prefer a beer instead, you can choose from a wide selection
including the best Belgian and Irish varieties.
The historical area in which Hotel Oxford is situated is the elegant "Ludovisi-Sallustiano"
neighbourhood, which , in times past, was a well-to-do suburb where
families owned sumptuous villas. Guests of Hotel Oxford can visit the
ruins of " Horti Sallustiani" (about 50 metres away) where the poet
Sallustio, once he retired, wrote his masterpieces.
