Hotel Parco Borromeo Cesano Maderno

The "Parco Borromeo" Hotel looks out on a very wide age-old Park, a wonderful example of italian-garden with its magnificent trees, stately boulevards rich in trees and flowerbeds, with its statues, fountains and a little, pretty lake. It is surely the best setting for the fascinating Arese Borromeo Palace, which is considered as one of the most important monuments of the 1600 in Lombardy because of the richness of the paintings in fresco and the decorations.
The meeting-rooms in the Hotel, with the Congress Centre in the next Arese Borromeo Palace, allow to organize conventions, job-meetings and shows or art-exhibitions of high quality. The meeting-rooms are completely equipped with slide-projector, tracing-projector, screens, videotapes and microphones. The hotel-meeting structure has a large underground parking.

The hotel has 40 bedrooms (22 single and 18 double), completely furnished with all the comforts of the category, to which are added complementary room coffee-services, the Welcome Drink in the Hall, and the possibility to surf the net with wireless connection from everywhere in the building. The harmony and elegance that characterize the bedrooms always remind us of the historical context in which the hotel is located; the views from the windows put us in touch with spaces always dominated by a fascinating architectural idea. The relationship with the ceiling is particularly interesting: it is constantly evoked, which is typical element of the XVII century's architecture. The ceiling, coffered in wood as well as decorated with plaster, is a constantly dominant element.

"Il Fauno" opened in spring 1996, with the commitment of Simone Toninato, chef, and Sandro Vitiello, maitrê-sommelier. By car:

• From Milan Tangenziale Est/ Linate Airport/ Motorway A1 from Bologna: after the Melegnano tollgate, continue on Tangenziale Est direction Venezia, take the interchange for Tangenziale Nord - Como (exit after Milano Gobba), pay the transit and continue on Tangenziale Nord till the deviation for Como, take the clearway Milano-Meda-Como till exit nr. 10, Cesano Maderno.
• From Milan Tangenziale Ovest/ Motorway A4 from Torino/ Venezia: after the motorway tollgate, go on direction Venezia (coming from Torino) or Torino (coming from Venezia), till the Cormano exit, and than take interchange to the clearway Milano-Meda-Como;exit at Cesano Maderno (exit nr. 10).
• From Motorway A8 (Malpensa Airport/ Varese): after the motorway tollgate continue on tangenziale Est, direction Venezia (coming from Torino) or Torino (coming from Venezia), till the Cormano exit, follow for Como and get into the clearway Milano-Meda-Como; exit at Cesano Maderno (exit nr. 10).
• From Motorway A9 (Como/ Switzerland): coming from Como or from Switzerland, after the motorway tollgate continue till the Saronno exit, turn right following for Monza till you get to a rundabout, turn left and go straight on for about 10 Km on the Monza-Saronno road till Varedo, get into the clearway Milano-Meda-Como and exit at Cesano Maderno (exit nr. 10).

By car from Cesano Maderno:

• On working days: at exit nr 10 of the clearway, coming from Milan, get to the first stop (about 200 m after the exit), turn left into Via Garibaldi, follow Parco Borromeo/Palazzi Storici; go along the whole Via Garibaldi (after passing the only traffic light you find, the streets costeggia the the Parco Borromeo Walls) till getting to a compulsory right turn into Via Borromeo; continue for about 200 m on Via Borromeo (passing in front of the main entrance of Palazzo Borromeo), turn obbligatoriamente right into Via Cantù and get immediately, on the right, into the square/parking in front of the Hotel (Piazza Procaccini).
• On Saturday and during holidays the centre of Cesano Maderno is an area reserved for pedestrians: at exit nr. 10 of the Clearway, coming from Milano, get to the first stop (about 200 m after the exit), go straight on for about 50m till the second stop and after a strettoia turn left into via Borromeo (follow for Palazzo Borromeo/Palazzi Storici), after 100 m turn left into Via Cantù and get immediately, on the right, into the square/parking in front of the Hotel (Piazza Procaccini).

By Public Transport:

• From Malpensa Airport: from Terminal 1 take the "Malpensa Express" which leaves every half an hour and takes 40 minutes to get to the Milano Nord Cadorna station; from there, get the train to Cesano Maderno (route Seveso/Asso) leaving every 30 minutes; the Cesano Maderno station is only 400 m away from the hotel.
• From Linate / Bergamo (Orio al Serio) airports: get the shuttle bus to Milano till the Milano Nord Cadorna station; from there, get the train to Cesano Maderno (route Seveso/Asso) leaving every 30 minutes; the Cesano Maderno station is only 400 m away from the hotel. In case the shuttle bus only stops at Stazione Centrale in Milano, get the underground green line and get to the Milano Cadorna station (4 stops).
• From Fiera Milano Città: from the "Porta Domodossola" fair exit, get to the Ferrovie Nord Domodossola station (in front of the exit) and get the train to Cesano Maderno (route Seveso/Asso) leaving every 30 minutes; the Cesano Maderno station is only 400 m away from the hotel.
• From the new Fiera Milano Area (Rho/Pero): from the fair Gate Est, get the underground red line to Milano Nord Cadorna (13 stops); from there, get the train to Cesano Maderno (route Seveso/Asso) leaving every 30 minutes; the Cesano Maderno station is only 400 m away from the hotel.
