Residence Le Terrazze The hotel was fairly nice, but as it was built in a terraced fashion on a hill, you had to go down several sets of winding steps to get to your room. We couldn't carry our suitcases down all those steps so we had to put our overnight stuff into one small bag and carry that down.

Residence Le Terrazze When we've arrived sorrento we couldnt believe that this is the hotel that we have booked. And for that price!!! They have given us rooms which werent maybe used for months.. When we wanted to leave the hotel/change the hotel we talked to the man on the reception he said we would pay even if we are not glad. I think he understood that we are very dissapointed and we would do anything to get our righst - he wanted to give us better rooms. These rooms were really better...

Residence Le Terrazze We had a great holiday at Le Terrazze. As a family with two young children we really appreciated the size of the quadrouple room. We could not fault the cleanliness and frequency of the room cleaning and we had a lovely large balcony with breath taking views over to Vesuvius and the bay of Naples. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Katya who our children adored and we liked very much. Very good breakfast.Peaceful location in mid June, away from the hustle and bustle of Sorrento. As we knew when booking, we did use the local bus service and we had to plan our trips out around the timetable. This is essential . Our lasting impression of the holiday is of a beautiful and dramatic landscape, populated by the most generous and friendliest people. We will definatly return to Le Terrazze!

Residence Le Terrazze This is a friendly, family run hotel in the mountains above Sorrento. The view, ambience and atmosphere is very good. Prospective quests need to know that it is a long way from town and the buses stop fairly early in the evening. There are nearby restaurants that will provide transporation for a typical Italian dinner. It is probably not the best choice for guests wanting late nite dancing and clubbing in Sorrento. We were guests early in the season and found a few things that needed repairs, but they were all fixed quickly.

Residence Le Terrazze We loved our stay at Le Terrazze! The view is spectacular and the rooms were perfect. Everything is exactly like it shows on the website, they even have a computer with Internet connection available for guest use. There is a nice breakfast in the morning, timed so that you can easily catch the bus into town for the daily activities. Finally, the staff was VERY helpful and friendly, with recommendations the really improved our visit. We will definitely go back to Sorrento and stay at Le Terrazze. HOW TO GET TO SORRENTO BY PLANE:
The nearest airport to Sorrento, only 50 km far, is Capodichino www.gesac.it The airport is linked to the main Italian and European towns by different airlines that, often, propose interesting offers depending on the season of the year. From the airport there are different ways to get to Sorrento. The most comfortable and the cheapest as well, if available at your arrival time, is bus service by Curreri. The bus is just outside the arrival gate and for less than 5 euro takes you straight to Piazza Tasso, the main square of Sorrento and in good traffic condition it takes about one hour. Different solutions may be taxi or transfer services that the most agencies in Sorrento offer for a price between 70 and 100 Euro. From the airport there are also buses, taxi and shuttles to the Circumvesuviana rail station from where you can catch the local trains to Sorrento every half hour or to Beverello port from where you catch the hydrofoils and ferries to Sorrento. We suggest you to use these last transports only if you don't find any better solution as they are little comfortable and tiring.

HOW TO GET THERE BY TRAIN:
the train station Napoli Centrale Piazza Garibaldi of the State Rail www.trenitalia.com is linked to Sorrento by the Circumvesuviana local trains. As soon as you get to Napoli Centrale take the stairs to the underground and you'll get to the Circumvesuviana station.

The price of the ticket is about 4 Euro and you can buy it at the ticket strand or at some newsagent in the station.

The journey from Naples takes about one hour and depending on the time, can be more or less comfortable. The trains are infact often crowded but unluckly they represent the fastest and cheapest way to reach Sorrento.

HOW TO GET THERE BY CAR:
Any direction you are coming from take the highway to Naples. Follow the A3 to the Sorrentine Peninsula and take the Castellamare di Stabia exit. From Castellamare drive along the main road for about 23 km. You pass through the villages of Vico Equense, Sant'agnello as far as Sorrento, the last village you find.

The state road in the most touristic period, from June to September, can be stucked with traffic and sometimes it takes more than one hour to drive the 23 km from Castellamare to Sorrento. As you rich Sorrento follow the road to S. Agata, after 6 km you will see us on your left.

HOW TO GET THERE BY SEA:
If you are in the town centre of Naples it can be very comfortable to reach Sorrento by sea. There are different hydrofoils and ferries linking Naples to Sorrento. Depending on the transport it takes about 40 minutes to get to Sorrento. The journey is more comfortable than the train one even if more expensive (about the double). The hydrofoils and the ferries get to the port of Sorrento that is about 500 mt far from the town centre. We suggest you to get to the centre by the shuttle buses you find in the little square.
