Each room is unique, decorated with handmade cherry wood furniture, in the simple but elegant style of English country houses. Handmade Oriental carpets, antique prints with hunting and golf scenes or representing the flower of all flower – the “Rose” – decorate the walls. Banisters and balconies facing frescos in trompe-l’oeil render the rooms even more airy with their wooden beams ceilings and open onto suggestive panoramas of the Tuscan countryside and views of Florence. Among our services we highlight the buffet breakfast, which includes coffee, tea, milk, fruit juices, white and whole wheat bread, croissants, marmalades and jams, butter, honey, yoghurt, cereals, sliced cold meats, cheeses and eggs. It is served in the English style dining room (or in guest’s room upon request).

From 4:00pm until 6:00pm a complimentary afternoon tea is offered to our guests in our reading room, where we set up a stylish samovar and offer a selection of teas and dry pastries.

The bar is offered in the reading and sitting rooms, where you can serve yourselves free of charge an aperitif or a digestive as though you were at home. Should you like a bar service, simply ask our staff for a soft drink or a selection of the best spirits.

For your evenings, we would be more than delighted to give you our best suggestions to let you enjoy the excellent cuisine of our region, recommending the best settings for your every occasion: from a romantic candlelight dinner to a typical dinner in a Florentine trattoria, from an aperitif in the most fashionable venues to a wine tasting in a fancy wine bar.

The Rosary Garden Hotel is situated in a strategic residential area of Florence, very easy for those who travel by car, and at the same time very close to the historical centre, which can be reached in 10 minutes by bus or 20 minutes walk. In front of the hotel, a small square with trees, a newspaper kiosk and benches to sit and relax in the sun, on the opposite side a shopping mall. Adjoining to the hotel, a very good restaurant, frequented by local people, where you can enjoy the real Chianina T-Bone steak accompanied by a glass of Chianti wine, and eat in the garden with lovely weather.

In the same area, you can find other restaurants, American bars with music, as well as a nice shopping district. The location is also particularly convenient for driving to the Chianti region through the Wine Road, with visits to wineries and small villages like Greve in Chianti or Panzano in Chianti and reach Siena, or famous villages like San Gimignano, Monteriggioni, Colle Val d'Elsa, Volterra. Lucca and Pisa are easy reachable too, as well as the Outlet The Mall, where you can find the most prestigious shops of fashion designers at discounted prices. For golf players, there is the Ugolino Golf Club (8 Km. only), one of the most beautiful and oldest courses in Italy and, 2 Km. far from the Hotel, a horse riding centre, a tennis Club and a swimming pool.

Travel information

By Car: The hotel is 5 minutes from “Firenze Sud” exit (Florence South) of the A1 Motorway. Take this exit and, once on the main road, follow the indications for Florence. Take the exit Viale Europa and keep the boulevard following the directions to “Firenze Centro” (Florence Centre); after 5 traffic lights, you will find a shopping mall on your right and a small tree-lined square with a newspaper kiosk on your left, where the hotel is situated. Stay on the boulevard until you reach the first roundabout and come back to the square, keeping to your right to enter Via di Ripoli. You will see the entrance of the Rosary Garden in front of you on the corner at number 169.

By Train: From Florence’s central station (Firenze Santa Maria Novella), the Rosary Garden Hotel can be reached in approximately 15 minutes by bus or taxi. By bus, take bus number 31 (direction Grassina), 32 (direction Antella) or 33 (direction Bagno a Ripoli) and get off at the bus stop “Il Bandino”, in front of the newsstand.

By Plane: Florence’s Amerigo Vespucci airport is about a 30 minute taxi ride from the Rosary Garden Hotel, or you can take the shuttle to the train station and them bus number 31 (direction Grassina), 32 (direction Antella) or 33 (direction Bagno a Ripoli), getting off at the bus stop “Il Bandino”, in front of the newsstand.
