Hotel Santa Caterina Orta San Giulio
“Orta San Giulio is a lovely, romantic italian town. Staff were very kind and professional. Breakfast was great. We had a room with balcony, cozy and comfortable. We had a very relaxing stay.„
One of the oldest inns of the Lake, Hotel Santa Caterina was renewed and enlarged in 1993.
It is at the entrance of Orta San Giulio, just few minutes from the historical centre, the Island, the Holy Mount (10 minutes) and the train station (5 minutes).
From the Hotel there is path who begins and it reach some interesting and panoramic areas.
Equipped garden, relax room, internet point, free welcome point in the afternoon (with snacks and drinks) and a buffet breakfast that is suitable to satisfy every requirement.
The 30 rooms are spacious and bright and offer high standard of comfort, some with panoramic views over the surrounding hills, mountains and forests. Some others have lake view or a small garden and other a balcony.
Breakfast is a rich buffet with sweet sancks, delicatessen, cheeses, fresh fruits.

Highway A26 Gravellona Toce exit suggested: Arona, Borgomanero (if you come from Milano) or Gravellona Toce (if you come from Domodossola or Suisse, and then SS nr. 229 for Orta San Giulio.
By train
Route Novara-Domodossola stop at Orta-Miasino, or from Milano change for route Novara-Milano, stop at Orta-Miasino
By airplane
Milano Malpensa Airport, Linate Airport, Orio al Serio (Bergamo).

Hotel Santa Caterina An excellent hotel with very friendly and helpful staff who went out of their way to make sure we had a pleasant stay at the resort. The rooms although quite basic were very clean and comfortable. The hotel had an excellent breakfast choice, with the added bonus of free afternoon to night time pastries and drinks etc. I would not hesitate to go back or recommend it to a friend.

Hotel Santa Caterina The hotel itself was perfectly clean but the facilities were totally lacking - eg no evening meals from beginning of October - no bar - no area to meet with friends, etc. No facilities in rooms to make tea/coffee. We booked this hotel to meet with relatives who had already booked there, but would not be keen to stay there again.

Hotel Santa Caterina This is a clean, minimalist-style modern hotel with good facilities and helpful staff. It would have scored more highly but for a few maintenance issues. For example, the door into the room stuck on the floor tiles, the door to the bathroom wasn't quite aligned properly with its handle and the air conditioning system leaked.

Hotel Santa Caterina They don't have room services for foods. But the breakfast services are excellent. It was a great experienced to stayed in their suite room. Lovely panorama from our balcony. Nice place if you love a tranquil and serene area. We highly advised this hotel for people traveling with their cars. I will surely be back again and again :-)

Hotel Santa Caterina The A/C had stopped working throughout the hotel with no explaination offered. It remain shut for three days and no effort was made to repair it. This meant that we had to keep the windows open to hear trucks passing under the windows. Balmy evenings were stifling in otherwise comfortable rooms. The variety offered at Breakfast Buffet was enough to skip lunch. Advice to all travellers: Ask for a room not facing the road.

Hotel Santa Caterina Nos avons séjourné en groupe. Nous avons pu garer nos voitures dans le parking de l'hôtel, petit mais pratique. Le chambres étaient toutes confortables et tranquilles. Le personnel nous a bien renseigné pendant notre séjour.
