The Hotel Universo awaits you in the heart of Lucca, close to the Ducal Palace and the Cathedral of the city. The train station can be easily reached on foot.

The hotel features elegant, well furnished rooms, with wonderful views over the city, all equipped with a minibar and air conditioning.

The rich breakfast buffet will give you the right energy to face the day. The restaurant, on the other hand, elegant and of high quality, serves italian cuisine and international dishes.

Upon request and payment, there is a shuttle service to/from the Trade Fair and the airport.

Wi-fi is available in public areas paying a small fee.

Each of the 60 rooms has a spectacular view either of the Cathedral, the tree-lined Piazza Napoleone or Piazza del Giglio with its 18th century theatre.

Hotel Universo My friend and liked where the Hotel was situated on the square. The room we had was at the back of the hotel and was spacious, but it could do with decorating. I think a number of rooms had been updated so maybe they are going to all rooms in the near future.

Hotel Universo It was very hot when we were visiting and did not realize we had air conditioning in the room until the day we left! The remote control was not obvious - we were looking for controls on the wall. Our stay also coincided with a concert on the plaza next door so that made for a late night and we had some problems finding our way into the hotel once the security gates were up, but that was just a matter of timing. Perhaps the hotel could make arrangements for guests to get into the concert....we would have enjoyed seeing the Italian singer who was performing that evening. We enjoyed the breakfast served every morning. The front desk staff were excellent. Thank you very much. We visit Lucca every time we come to Italy so we will see you again!

Hotel Universo Very quiet hotel and great value for money. The hotel staff were friendly, the only draw back being the short walk into Lucca via the busy main road. But saying that I would definetly stay at this hotel again.

Hotel Universo To us, 149 Euros per night seemed like a lot but, for a comfortable hotel in an old city like Lucca, it was probably fair. The breakfasts were good, though the dining room was a bit crowded. The main plus point for the hotel was its situation, in the centre of the old walled city, within easy walking distance of everywhere, opposite the Theatre, close to the Cathedral. Also, Giacomo on reception spoke very good English and was very helpful.

Hotel Universo Hotel offers very little communication - no internet hookup in hotel, no touch-tone phone lines anywhere in hotel. No cable TV, small towels, Overall the services and facilities you would expect in a 2-star hotel.

Hotel Universo Das Hotel lag zentral und hatte einen entsprechenden Komfort. Leider mußten wir selbst einen öffentlichen Parkplatz weit außerhalb suchen der dann im Stundentakt abgerechnet wurde, und somit sehr teuer wurde.
