Hotel villa Liana is in Florence historic centre, in the past an aristocratic villa, nowadays an outstandig hotel featuring antiques furnitures, fine finishes and original paintings that gives you the opportunity of staying close to the Cathedral.

The Hotel Villa Liana is situated in an antique villa dating back to 19th century, that used to house the British consulate when Florence was the capital of Italy. The hotel is placed in a tranquil street in the centre of Florence, ten minutes walk from the Dome and 15 minutes from Fortezza da Basso, Ponte Vecchio and Piazza della Signoria. The ambient is characterized by a familiar atmosphere, elegant and comfortable typical of a small hotel like ours and it's a natural reference point for a relaxing Florentine holiday. The hotel encloses a nice English style garden, where guests can relax reading a book or drinking tea.

The 24 rooms are all with private bathroom are equipped with every modern comfort, you may need.

Close to here you will find the romantic gardens so estimated by the English and Americans. The Botanic gardens, founded in 1545, is complete of full-grown trees and vegetable spicies in the flowerbeds, in this garden known as "Il giardino dei Simplici". The Monastery of Saint Marco collects the most important works of Beato Angelico. Close by are also the Piazza SS. Annunziata, famous renaissance square, the archaeological museum; the Hebrew synagogue and the Hebrew cemetery.

Travel information

By car: the hotel is easily reachable by the motorway A1, exit Firenze Nord. Follow the indications for the centre then for Piazza Donatello.

By car from north: from A1 highway take the exit "FIRENZE NORD" and follow signs to town center. Drive on "VIALE REDI" towards the centre of Florence, cross the main boulevard and take "VIA G: MONACO". Turn left at "V. F.LLI ROSSELLI" and drive under the railway. Continue along "VIA FILIPPO STROZZI", turn right and go along "VIALE S. LAVAGNINI". In "PIAZZA DELLA LIBERTÀ" keep your right and continue along "VIALE MATTEOTTI" and when you are in "PIAZZA DONATELLO" turn right in "VIA ALFIERI". You will find the Hotel Liana on your left side.

By car from south: from A1 highway take the exit "FIRENZE SUD" and follow signs to town center. Drive along the Arno river following the boulevard "LUNGARNO ALDO MORO" which turns in "LUNGARNO CRISTOFORO COLOMBO". When you find "PONTE SAN NICCOLÒ" bridge on your left, turn right in "VIALE G. AMENDOLA". You will pass "PIAZZA BECCARIA" and continue straight on "VIALE A. GRAMSCI". When you arrive in "PIAZZALE DONATELLO", you should drive around it and turn right into "VIALE ALFIERI". Finally, you will find Hotel Liana on your left side.

By train: the hotel is 5 minutes by taxi from the Santa Maria Novella railway station.

By airplane: the hotel is 30 minutes from the Florence airport.

Hotel Villa Liana Die Zimmer sind sehr unterschiedlich. Während ich ein sehr schönes Zimmer mit Terrasse hatte, befinden sich im Parterre eine Art "Kellerzimmer" zum selben Preis.
