Our large, sunny rooms, furnished in tasteful Venetian style, were created after careful restoration to protect the priceless original 16th century Venetian floors, famous ceilings with exposed wooden beams, also ’original and from the same century, and the old well-curb in the center of our garden, where the inhabitants of the epoch got their drinking water.

A stay at our Inn will take you back in time to experience the ambiance of the past without renouncing all modern comforts: satellite TV, Internet connection, air conditioning (included in the price), minibar, direct dial phone and bathroom with shower and/or bathtub.

In spring and summer months breakfast is served in the courtyard, where guests can also enjoy relaxing moments in front of an excellent glass of wine.

The Locanda La Corte is located in Calle Bressana, in the "sestiere" or quarter of Castello, just a stone's throw from Campo SS. Giovanni e Paolo, in the heart of the old city of Venice, in an exceptionally quiet area that is easily reached on foot from St. Mark's Square and the Rialto Bridge.

Travel information

BY TRAIN OR BY CAR: If you are arriving from the railway station or from Piazzale Roma (the car terminal), you can take boat line 52. Get off at the Fondamente Nuove stop (the nearest stop to the inn), turn left and follow the Fondamenta along the lagoon for approximately 200 meters. After passing the second bridge turn right immediately and follow the Fondamenta along the Canale dell'Ospedale until you reach Campo SS. Giovanni e Paolo. Here, to the right of the Rosa Salva pastry shop, you'll find Calle Bressana: 50 meters and you've arrived! We recommend that you be sure to ask for line 52 to Fondamente Nuove. Every boat stop has a ticket office.

FROM THE AIRPORT: From Marco Polo Airport you can take the bus line as far as Piazzale Roma, then you can take boat line 52 as explained above. Or you can use the ALILAGUNA service. Tickets cost € 10.00 per person and you can reach the Fondamente Nuove Stop by water and then proceed to the inn as explained above. Please note!! This service for Fondamente Nuove only operates between 11:18 and 19:18, every hour, and it may be subject to variation depending on the period in question. Otherwise, you can get off at the San Marco stop and ask for directions to Campo SS. Giovanni e Paolo, which is approximately 15 minutes on foot from St. Mark's square (also see the map on our site).

TAXI: If you take a water taxi it will bring you directly to the door of the inn as we have a private landing place. This service is available from the Airport (approximately 30 minutes), from the railway station and from Piazzale Roma (approximately 15 minutes) at a cost (including baggage and for up to 4 passengers) of approximately € 60.00 from Piazzale Roma and the Railway station, and approximately € 80.00 from the airport. However, prices should be agreed upon with the taxi driver prior to departure. Venetian taxis (with a supplement to be agreed upon prior to departure) may transport up to 12 people with baggage.
