Locanda Novo, Hotel Venice Cannaregio Calle dei Preti, 4529

The inn is located in Venice within walking distance from the Rialto Bridge and is easily reached either from the railway-station, from Piazzale Roma terminal, or from the "Marco Polo" Airport.

The inn is located inside a magnificient Venetian building. Its luxurious rooms give into the main hall (longue room) which is specially meant for the relax of our guests.

The stained-glass windows fashioned by Venetian master glassblowers allow our guests to have a glimpse of a still undiscovered Venice.

The rooms, all finely furnished, with bathroom/shower, bear the names of well-known historical characters whose have marked the life of the Moste Serene Republic, namely Caterina Cornaro, Marco Polo, Casanova, Vivladi, Otello, the Doges.

Travel information

By plane (International Airport Marco Polo): the international airport Marco Polo is situated in Tessera, 12 Km by car and 10 Km by motorboat from Venezia. It's connected to Venice and to Railway Station of Mestre.

Airport - Venice by car or bus:

Public transportations: Service of public bus ACTV (ticket 0.77 euro) or ATVO (ticket 2.58 euro) for Piazzale Roma. It will take roughly 30 minutes.
Private transportations: Private car-taxi (about 15 Euro).

When you arrive at Piazzale Roma you can take the motorboat.

Airport - Venice by motorboat:

public transportations: ALILAGUNA: Airport - Venice Alilaguna is the direct passenger waterbus service between Venice and its airport. Airport-Venice (S.Marco): Ticket 8,78 Euro, you can buy it directly on board without any supplement. From S. Marco you can take the ACTV'S lines (1, N) to reach the Hotel. Get off at Ca' D'Oro station. Ticket 3.1 Euro at the ticket counters or directly on the boats, paying a little supplement.
Private transportations: Private water-taxi (about 75 Euro).

By train (Train Station Venezia S. Lucia): the Train Station Venezia S. Lucia is situated in Cannaregio, near Piazzale Roma.

Public transportations: ACTV's Lines (Venetian public transport company), every 10 - 12 minuts:1, N. Get off at Ca' d'Oro station. Ticket 3.1 Euro at the ticket counters or directly on the boats, paying a little supplement.
Private transportations: Private water-taxi (about 26 Euro).

By car or bus (Terminal auto Piazzale Roma eTronchetto):

public transportations: ACTV's lines (Venetian public transport company),every 10 - 12 minuts: 1, N. Get off at S. Marco station or at Ca' D'Oro station. Ticket 3.1 Euro at the ticket counters or directly on the boats, paying a little supplement. From Tronchetto takes the lines 82.
Private transportations: private Water-taxi (about 26 Euro).

Locanda Novo Pleasent, well located hotel. Convenient to St Mark's (brisk 15 minute walk), Rialto Bridge (3 minutes), Ca D'Oro vaporetto stop (5 minutes) and the Fondamente Nouve vaporetto stop to Murano (pleasant 10 minute stroll through the quiet back streets). We were on the top floor which required us to traverse two extra precipitous (ie very steep, narrow treads) flights of stairs. Probably feel more sorry for the poor breakfast lady who has to deliver your tray to this room in the morning! (She arrived panting and puffing - I wonder how many trays have been dropped on the way to this floor?) All in all, very clean, air conditioning worked well. Bathroom small but adequate. Just be warned if you get the top (3rd I think) floor room - there is no lift.

Locanda Novo Venice is very expensive which is why we booked before, however the price of the hotel seemed to change once we had been charged on our card!! There are only 9 rooms in the hotel which are very nicely decorated with fancy decor, however our room had a double bed, a sofa, a table with two chairs and then another two chairs. We thought the seating for 8 was a little excessive and a TV in the room would have been welcomed.

Locanda Novo concernant le petit déjeuner servi dans la chambre...c'est ok mais servi dans la chambre pour 4 personnes....il faudrait penser à une plus grande table...et plus de café

Locanda Novo Ich kann nur sagen großartige Lage, nur wenige Minuten von Rialto und dem Markusplatz. Das Zimmer war klassisch venezianisch eingerichtet, etwas pompös mit einem schönen Himmelbett, man fühlte sich so wie in einer anderen Zeit versetzt. Das Personal war äußerst freundlich. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Danke

Locanda Novo Wir haben bisher 2 x das Hotel ausgewähl. Für ein 2 Sterne-Hotel ein sehr empfehlenswertes Hotel. Zentral gelegen.
