Relais San Clemente Perugia

From the romantic and small station of Passo dell'Acqua located inside the Relais secular park it is possible to stop, with a wave of the hand, the historic train (timetable) which runs almost every hour. The ticket can be bought directly on the train. In only 20 minutes it will reach the station of St. Anna (terminus) just in the historical centre of Perugia after crossing the Umbrian countryside. Not far from the station an underground escalator takes you to Corso Vannucci, the main street of Perugia, through the famous Rocca Paolina (the old buried town).
For the visitor who wishes to practice his or her favourite sport, Relais San Clemente offers two tennis courts and a tennis coach able to organize individual courses and group tournaments. Two 5-a-side football courts, green volley, jogging and mountain bike along marked routes (it is possible to organize brunches for groups in agreeable places and transfers with assistance and specialized means of transport). Indoors: a play room for a game of billiards or table tennis and a delightful reading-room. At a distance of only 5 minutes by car either the horse riding stables or the 18-hole golf course. 

It is also possible to organize excursions in montgolfier from the park. 

All with minibar, air-conditioning, telephone with a direct outside line, hairdryer, colour TV with foreign programmes satellite reception. Oaken parquet floors, classic style furniture, walls enriched with Umbrian painters paintings. Every room offers the wonderful view of the Umbrian countryside. Some offer private balconies , some others an independent access to the secular park, while the romantic second-floor rooms have a mansard ceiling. No surprise if the stillness of the night will be interrupted in the morning by the pleasant chirping of the swallows.

The American Bar of the Relais with a piano-bar, is the ideal place for a moment's relaxation. During the summer a kiosk-bar is near the swimming pools.

The restaurant of the Relais San Clemente, famous for its refined Umbrian cuisine, is located in two rooms: an interior accommodating 110 persons and a climitized panoramic veranda for 190 persons. It is also possible to taste the traditional delicious dishes in the two external gazebos one located in the heart of the secular park, the other one by the swimming pools.We offer our guests a choice of menu, à la carte which changes according to the season and also a typical Umbrian "gourmet menu" with a starter, followed by home made pasta, a main course with a side dish, a delicious dessert and a selection of wines, liqueurs, mineral water and coffee all at very low prices.

Travel information

By car:

• from Bologna exit at Cesena toll-gate (highway A-14 Bologna-Ancona). Then proceed on connecting-road E-45 towards Perugia; exit at Bosco.
• from Firenze exit at Valdichiana toll-gate (highway A-1 Firenze-Roma). Then proceed on connecting-road E-45 towards Perugia and then to Cesena; exit at Bosco.
• from Roma exit at Orte toll-gate (highway A-1 Roma-Firenze).

The proceed on connection-road E-45 towards Perugia and then to Cesena, exit at Bosco. The Relais San Clemente is one kilometre from the Bosco-exit going left to Ramazzano.

By train: Terontola-Perugia coming from Firenze-Roma or Foligno-Perugia coming from Ancona-Roma. Perugia-Fontivegge railway station is 10km from the Hotel.

By plane:

• Roma-Fiumicino international airport is 180 km away.
• Firenze airport is 170 km away.
• Perugia-S.Egidio airport is only 4 km from the hotel: one daily flight connects Perugia to Milano-Malpensa on workdays either in the morning or in the evening.
