Residenza Del Duca, Hotel Amalfi Via Mastalo II Duca, 3

The Residenza del Duca is located in an ancient palace which, already in 954, was part of a “hospitium domorum", that is a group of palaces owned by a single aristoctatic family.

It is located in the historical centre of Amalfi, 20 mt far from the Cathedral and 50 mt far from the sea. The Residenza is part of an ancient building and to reach it guests have to walk up approx 70 steps.

A baggage service is available with a fee.

Check in is possible until 8pm, in case of delay please contact the Residenza.

Each room carries the name of some of the most important Dukes of the Marine Republic: Mastalo II, Mansone I, Ducissa Maria, Gisulfo II, Marino Sebaste.

All the rooms have been tiled with majolica from Vietri, whose original drawings have been studied and reproduced by a local pottery painter. The rooms are furnished with well-finished pieces accurately chosen according to the style of the palace.

The XVII century chestnut wood beaming ceiling and XVIII century cloister and vaulted ceiling have been revived thanks to the accurate restoration work made by a craftsman of our Costiera.

In order to make your staying more comfortable: air-conditioning, bathroom with hydromassage shower, hairdryer, satellite TV, PC connection, mini-bar, safe, direct-line telephone, balcony or terrace with chairs and table, fine view over the sea and/or the historic centre.

After a rich breakfast served in the room or on the terrace, you can start to discover the beauties of the Divina Costiera.

Travel information

Coming from the north, You follow the indications for the A3 motorway towards Salerno. Exit at Vietri sul Mare. Here You follow the indications for the Amalfitan Coast road SS163. On arriving in Amalfi You turn towards the main quare (Piazza Duomo) and 100 metres You will find the hotel.
Coming from the south, You take the motorway Reggio-Salerno, You leave it in Salerno and follow the indications for the SS163 to Amalfi. On arriving in Amalfi You turn towards the main quare (Piazza Duomo) and 100 metres You will find the hotel.

Residenza Del Duca Beautiful place, nice big bedroom and lovely bathroom. Clean and well kept. Very good breakfast, especially the capachino! Staff very polite, friendly and helpful. Great location right in the centre of Amalif so close to everything but still quiet. Only downside is there are a lot of steps to walk up to get to the hotel but there is help with the lugage.I would highly recommend.

Residenza Del Duca Posizione, centralissima, a pochi passi dal duomo. Le stanze che profumavano di pulito e staff gentilissimo. Ci sono piu' o meno 70 scalini...quindi lo consiglio a chi possiede buone capacita' fisiche.

Residenza Del Duca Albergo molto centrale ma in una zona tranquilla. Le stanze sono molto confortevoli ed il peronale molto cordiale. Abbiamo apprezzato molto la colazione, ottimi i caffe'.
