Serendipity The hotel is clean, but old and the bedrooms are dispatched between several buildings which is weard. The staff is friendly but don't speak anything else than Italian and you must pay your bedroom CASH, that's quite annoying. You have your breakfast outside the hotel, in a small restaurant, and it's not exceptionnal, you'd better go somewhere else !

Serendipity It took 2 hours to locate the hotel we were going round and round. Since this hotel is in a common building it becomes impossible to search the hotel. I reached rome termini station at 11 pm and to get in the hotel it was 1 am next morning and my daughter was totally exhausted. The person at the Reception did not know a single word of english thankfully we got another traveller who spoke hungarian and english and could communicate with the reception guy in hungarian language. One more thing the hotel did not accept Credit card payment since they said that the management was changed and now the management is run by bangladeshi. The breakfast was utter flop we had it on the first day and on the second day we skipped it, it was mearly a croosiant and tea. The price is not worth for to pay for this hotel.

Serendipity The location was very good as we could walk to many places with no problems - But the best asset was the staff: Stefano Ianucci, even though he did not speak English and we spoke no Italian, went out of his way and beyond to answer to all our requests and needs. And Osman Goni was extremely helpful dealing with the Tour people. Both men are strong assets to the hotel

Serendipity Great people, location, and cleanliness. Breakfast was great and offered more substantial options for an extra Euro or two. Only trouble was no credit card machine but I was able to pay at an associated hotel with a card.

Serendipity The breakfast was at another location 2 blocks from the hotel. It wasn't really that bad walking but what if it was raining. That would be a disaster. -Also, the TV did not work 2 nights out of the 3. They said someone would be out (on a Saturday) to fix it. Come Sunday no one came to fix it and then they said that on the weekend they can't get service. The internet connection code was not correct when issued so we missed the first night. When I went to the office desk, only the security guy was on duty and he could not talk english at all. I asked for him to call the manager and he refused. I was very upset that there was no one there that could speak english to even let me know if the internet was down. Over all I cannot recommend this place.

Serendipity The elevator put me off and is ancient and most times we had to walk up the three floors. Not suitable for older travellers at all. Renovations were going on so we could not sleep till 2 in the morning. I was very upset at that and we complained but no body offered any compensation. The room next door also kept us awake the next night. We were made to pay cash when we checked out. Not good to be taken for a surprise at the last minute. The location was good, spacious and clean rooms. Breakfast only a coffe, juice from powdered concentrate (awful) and a croissant.

Serendipity The rooms were small as compared to the price taken. The rooms were in an apartment which was divided into rooms & not a hotel. The reception was in another building. No telephone lines to contact the reception. The AC was only running & had no effect. Also there was no breakfast room. The breakfast was away is some other hotel. The breakfast served was only 1 Criossant, Tea & Juice. Nothing else. When asked the hotel staff, they said it the Italian breakfast which is not clearly mentioned in the description.

Serendipity The hotel is very hard to find. There are no signage on the property. The building is very old and the elevator can only fit two people maximum. The location is very good - close to Termini, walking distance to many attractions. Recently, they had a change in management. When we stayed there, they did not accept credit cards, so we had to pay in cash. Also, the breakfast is served around the corner in a small bar. This has its own advantages - you are not restricted to breakfast hours only (beneficial for the late sleepers). Standard breakfast consists of coffe/tea/juice and a sweet. Overall, the hotel is very good.

Serendipity A very basic hotel with just a reception area and rooms located on the lower floors of what seems to be an apartment complex. Our room was clean and quiet and faced into a treed courtyard. Very easy to reach on foot from termini station, even with a suitcase in tow, but map provided on internet is somewhat misleading, as extend of termini station is not clearly shown. All the beautiful sights of Rome are close and can be either walked to or reached by public transportation.

Serendipity We were very disappointed when we checked out very early. First problem: the day before the reception gave us breakfast tickets to Bar Jolly and indicated it would be open at 6 AM. It was closed and we requested a credit, which was agreed to. Then the staff mistakenly charged us for the wrong room which resulted in a significant overcharge (close to 200 euros). He could not issue us a credit through our credit card (big surprise to us). We insisted on the cash credit which took another 10 minutes as he had to leave the premises. The hotel accommodated our request to store our luggage for 2 nights prior to our night stay. The room was very adequate but the departure was most unnerving.

Serendipity The mattress was hard to sleep on. I felt the springs on my back. My wife had same problem. I think it is time to get the old mattress replaced. Everything else was pretty good. Nice breakfast and friendly staff.

Serendipity The staff was extremely helpful in getting around Rome. The hotel was very clean and well maintained. The location was in walking distance of the Termini which was great. The only problem was they did not accept credit cards which I think was temporary. Fortunately, we had enough cash with us to pay our bill. We do not use ATM's because of the steep service charges etc.

Serendipity Bath advertised = Shower only. Not even a shelf in shower bathroom. Windows & blinds = Jammed each use. Had to get assistance. Breakfast taken a walk away in a tiny cafe & take away used by university students = is not acceptable - we only used it once. Blankets not there - ( needed) Brochure needs correcting. Beds comfort - Excellent. Fabulous Gardens.

Serendipity The malfunctioning lift created a problem as one of us walked with a walking stick and found stairs to 3rd floor a problem-also difficult to get luggage down stairs when we departed. We were very grateful for help from the hotel receptionist.One of the staff was very helpful in booking dinner and cruise for us.

Serendipity Didn't care for leaving the building to go for breakfast that was included, but for the price it was good. Location was a little far to walk for shopping Rooms were very clean and the price was low so overall we did not miind.

Serendipity The hotel is located reasonably close to the Termini rail station and therefore well suited for travellers. The room was clean and the size was more than adequate for one or two nights. A word of caution as the hotel is just one part of a building and is not well signed - the street address is an absolute requirement. Breakfast was provided at another location and was quite forgetable - we did after the first morning. On the other hand the hotel's recommendation of a restaurant was first class - good italian meal - reasonable price and a great host.
