Travel information

Exit from the right side of the Central Train Station Termini on Via Marsala ( close to the platform #1), cross over the street and keep walking on Via Marghera for 5 blocks. Then turn on the right on Viale Castro Pretorio. We are located at the nr. 25.

About the property A very basic hotel with just a reception area and rooms located on the lower floors of what seems to be an apartment complex. Our room was clean and quiet and faced into a treed courtyard. Very easy to reach on foot from termini station, even with a suitcase in tow, but map provided on internet is somewhat misleading, as extend of termini station is not clearly shown. All the beautiful sights of Rome are close and can be either walked to or reached by public transportation.

About the property We were very disappointed when we checked out very early. First problem: the day before the reception gave us breakfast tickets to Bar Jolly and indicated it would be open at 6 AM. It was closed and we requested a credit, which was agreed to. Then the staff mistakenly charged us for the wrong room which resulted in a significant overcharge (close to 200 euros). He could not issue us a credit through our credit card (big surprise to us). We insisted on the cash credit which took another 10 minutes as he had to leave the premises. The hotel accommodated our request to store our luggage for 2 nights prior to our night stay. The room was very adequate but the departure was most unnerving.

About the property The mattress was hard to sleep on. I felt the springs on my back. My wife had same problem. I think it is time to get the old mattress replaced. Everything else was pretty good. Nice breakfast and friendly staff.

About the property Great location, a little difficult with buzzing in through the gates and stuff, weren't sure we had the right place. Rooms were good value. Very helpful staff.

About the property The staff was extremely helpful in getting around Rome. The hotel was very clean and well maintained. The location was in walking distance of the Termini which was great. The only problem was they did not accept credit cards which I think was temporary. Fortunately, we had enough cash with us to pay our bill. We do not use ATM's because of the steep service charges etc.

About the property Bath advertised = Shower only. Not even a shelf in shower bathroom. Windows & blinds = Jammed each use. Had to get assistance. Breakfast taken a walk away in a tiny cafe & take away used by university students = is not acceptable - we only used it once. Blankets not there - ( needed) Brochure needs correcting. Beds comfort - Excellent. Fabulous Gardens.

About the property The malfunctioning lift created a problem as one of us walked with a walking stick and found stairs to 3rd floor a problem-also difficult to get luggage down stairs when we departed. We were very grateful for help from the hotel receptionist.One of the staff was very helpful in booking dinner and cruise for us.

About the property The hotel is very clean and the location is very close to center Rome. Ricardo and him staff was magnific and very helpfull. I would recommend Serendipity Hotel to all my friends.
