Villa Lara Hotel Amalfi

Villa Lara, built in the late 1800s, is surrounded by the green of lemon groves and by the bright colors of flowering bougainville.

Just a few steps from the Duomo and the sea, the villa enjoys a privileged position, perched on a cliff.

It overlooks the entire ancient marine republic, permitting its visitors to fully immerse themselves in the teeming alleys and streets of the historic center in summer, while still enjoying complete tranquillity, far from every noise.

The Villa il located at the beginning of Valle dei Mulini, very near the ancient papermills, few of them still working, and just near the Papermuseum.

We will go across the only carriage-road through the city, starting from Flavio Gioia square to Via delle Cartiere.

The rooms, especially welcoming and beautifully maintained, reflect the typical flavor of buildings of the Amalfi coast with their majolica tiles and ancient vaulted ceilings.

The furnishings, strictly in antique style, are a marriage of elegance and practicality. The rooms are all equipped with bathroom with hydromassage tub or shower, airdryer.

Coming through Via Mansone I, we will reach the Dom Square with its staircase. Leaving the Cathedral at the back, we take the main road Via S.Lorenzo d'Amalfi with its typical bookshops, fruitshops, bakeries, fishshops and restaurants. After a while we will be under an arch, called "Faenza arch", with above coulored houses with their small windows and balconies, all in blooming. (On the right there is one of our private guarded carparking). Afterwards 20 meters from the arch, raise your eyes up on the left and welcome in Villa Lara.
