The Viva Hotel Meridiana Country is a very special, recently
established, 4-star hotel complex in the depths of the Tuscan
countryside, in a district called Pontenuovo di Calenzano not far from
Florence. Within easy reach of the motorway and other major highways,
it is located in perfect position both for short holidays and for
corporate meetings and conventions.
32 double bedrooms furnished with taste and elegance in an
essential and functional style, all equipped with terrace or private
garden, boasting a broad view over the landscape surrounding the hotel.
A refined simplicity which is the result of meticulous selection of
materials and the utmost attention to detail: curtains in warm shades
blend perfectly with the dove-grey upholstery, while the warmth of oak
makes an inspired contrast with the slate finishes.
Features: Air conditioning, Lcd screen TV, Pay TV, Minibar, PC and
modem sockets, multilingual satellite TV, direct phone line, safe, lamp
with fragrance diffuser, direct access from outside with electronic
key, hair-dryer.
Our hotel structure has been designed to offer our guests unique
sensations. In the breakfast room a well-furnished buffet is provided
every morning, featuring Tuscan and international specialities. The
Sunset Bar is the ideal spot for an aperitif or an after-diner drink.
In the summer season guests can enjoy local wines and delicacies on the
terrace overlooking the Hall, even while surfing the web on our WiFi
network.
Moving through the enchanted atmosphere of our hills, traversing the
wine roads and the oil roads, visitors can savour the typical products
of Tuscany. The MERIDIANA COUNTRY HOTEL is the ideal destination for a
break, a weekend or a holiday on the keynote of absolute pleasure in
all seasons. The Ristorante Carmagnini del '500, situated opposite the
hotel, will accompany our guests on a gastronomic journey through the
traditions of Tuscan cuisine.
A
focus of Italian culture, Florence is the homeland of art. A city which
more than any other was home to the splendours of the Renaissance, it
is an essential stop for all enthusiasts. Less well-known, but of great
artistic value, are the small rural centres which surround it: ancient
villages that have remained intact over the centuries that can be
reached in just a few minutes from the Meridiana Country Hotel, such as
Scarperia, Vicchio, Carmignano, Poggio a Caiano and Borgo San Lorenzo.
